I am the parent of an 11 year old daughter who is smart, well liked in school, etc. But no matter how much we remind her, ground her, take things from her, etc., it is like pulling teeth to get her to say hello, please and thank you to people - just basic, simple manners. I've seen questions here about teaching manners in school and my comment to that is 'if parents are banging their heads agains the wall trying to enforce manners, but other adults (i.e. teachers) aren't doing the same, how do they learn. Does anyone have any suggestions and/or tried & true methods?

Last night, my friend and I drove up to Wisconsin between the hours of 10:00-3AM.
Here's the situation: I do not have my license. I further more do not have my learners permit. I was joking with my friend and swirved to the left of the road a little, and out of NOWHERE a cop pulls us over. Now as you can imagine, we were freaking out (in a calmly manner) and the cop is asking for license.

So stupid Bryttany (myself) says that I am indeed 16, but I must have left my license at home in Illinois.
Two hours later the cop lets me off with a 121.60 ticket for swirving, and expects me to call him today with my license information or I will receive another ticket for operating a vehicle without a license.

Now--If I don't call him today (because I have no license information to give him, obviously) will I lose my license until I'm 21, or just have this ticket?
Because he still wouldn't know that I don't have my license ( He also has the wrong spelling of my name, and my old address)

It is my belief that If you need faith, it's what works for you. I am fortunate to have been brought up to have spirtuality and faith, but unlike some religions, I don't believe "everyone" has that potential to have faith and that is why we must have faith for them. This includes children of severe autism or from severe dysfunctional violent cultures. If you are speaking of the average person (being someone of a high enough IQ and global awareness functioning score of someone who understands life reasonably) then still you must take in account dynamics of many degrees. Describe your search for what is good for you to fulfill your needs for spirituality and faith. For me, I am just really glad I had a grandmother who took the time to explain faith to me and was there until I became pregnant at 25 with my own first child. I miss her, but will always remember her for the faith she instilled in me.

I have a long list in excel and some of the zeros in front of the zipcodes are not there. I would like to figure out an easy way of adding them in other than manually typing them. Thanks!

Hi..friend I wonder if the US economy is 100% free economy?
I have read an economics book before, there was an index told US economy is quite a free economy, but not 100%.
US seemed to be rated 8 of 10.(10 is 100% free economy)Many of the nondemocratic countries were rated 3 or 4.
US is still not 100%, because its post offices and something elses are gov't owned. There is one thing i am curious with, There are million kinds of things being traded everyday in the US. Are there some of the (consumer) goods' prices regulated to fix by govn't or to change(rise or fall) within a certain percentage. Are there goods not based on the pure supply and demand theory. Please help me with this question
thank Q I will appreciate it.

Last night I done some light jogging for 35 minutes plus some other cardio stuff, push ups and crunches. Today the muscles in my arms and legs are quite sore (I almost called in sick to work!), but i'm assuming either this is because I pushed myself too hard last night, or because I didn't stretch and warm up/down properly. Anyway, my next question is, should I leave exercising for a few nights, can I do any light exercises? Can I go walking when my calves feel so tight? Also, if anyone could offer advice on warming up/down and just general advice, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks alot

Jamie

I'm thinking of cooking up a big batch of scrambled eggs with veggies and sausage mixed in with it and then putting it in small containers in the freezer so I can have a grab and go breakfast. Do you think it will freeze ok or should I just store them in the refrigerator?

WTF is up with this Religion? I've never heard of this sort of thing in this magnitude with any of the other religions.

Not bashing, but seriously, it's not looking good for Catholic Priests nowadays...

I just bought a 2007 Toyota Corolla S and decided to finance it for 5 yrs. Is there any way I can break that contract? I made the mistake of impulse buying the car but what I was really interested in was the 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe. I've had the car for less than a week but was just wondering if there was any way of breaking my contract without being penalized. Please let me know if you have any advice.

He's a great fielder, and has some good pop in his bat. But he's only getting on base at a .328 clip, which prevents him from being anything better than average. Sammy Sosa had the same problem as a youngster, but he learned to take pitches. Will Francoeur do the same, or is he always going to be a low-OBP hacker?

You will you still get into heaven if you are a gnostic if you believe in Jesus teachings? I would have to say I'm more gnostic than anything else. Because I believe as God's children we can do as christ did.
