Again, depends on where you live. With two mortages on my home, (taxes and homeowner's insur included), they are only $640. Gas is about $200 month (heating, dryer, stove) Electric is less than $30 Phone and 'net are about $50-70 depending. Cell is about $110 (3 lines) No car payment Groceries: Some people $25 a week, some people $250 a week. Fuel is too depressing to think about... Vet: $20 a month average (annual shots, heartworm, flea stuff broken down) You don't NEED cable or these things, but are things to think about before moving out or changing locations.

I live in Northern Minnesota, about an hour north west of Duluth.

I am actually holding my utility bill in my hand as it just came in the mail.

With a family of 4 plus a room mate, we my bill was $134.27 for last month.

Thats a bit high, usually I am around the $120 mark.

Well, I think I am going to shock you all. I am in Bakersfield, CA., and my bill this month, just electricity, was $437.00!! I am on a level play plan so that I pay $244.00 per month all year to average it out. I am now looking into a new efficient one. (central air) Pricey, but I figure the I can pay for it with the savings from the PG&E bill

Southside Houston, TX

I dont pay for water in my place, but electric is about $225.00 per month. Which is high for a 1 bedroom condo, but I think it's so high because its over 800 sq ft and I have 20 ft ceilings.

It depends on the time of year because mine varies so much. In the summer its between 150-200 but can be as little as 70 in the winter. I live in AZ which explains the fluctuation.
