My friend is having problems with other people making sure that he cannot be with or around anyone in his life. He is struggling with selfesteem and all. He needs me to help him but I haven't been able to with his attitude so low. How can I help him get back into the groove of things and be happy. All he can do is putter around doing little things. People can be so hurtful when they have their own problems. Why don't people just mind their own business sometimes!!!

Billy Bob went to his local psychiatrist's "free consultation" to see if he could help him overcome his fear of the monsters under his bed. The psychiatrist told him "I can cure you, but it will take one year with two visits per week at $200/hr." Billy Bob said he'd have to get back with him.
About six months later, the psychiatrist ran into Billy Bob at the store. "Hey, Billy Bob? Have you given any thought to see me about your 'monsters under the bed' fear?"
Billy Bob said "I'm cured! Jim Bob the bartender did the math and said it'd cost $20,800 for you to cure me, but he cured me for free, so I bought myself a new truck with the money Jim Bob saved me".
The shrink asked "How did he cure you for free?"
"Easy....he told me to cut the legs off the bed. Aint no monsters under there now!"

i ned help! i am going to fly on an airplane and i am going from new jersey newark airport to atlanta georgia airport and i have never been on one befpre and i will be 12 on july 10. i am so scared becuz of what hapened to the twin towers and what happens if the plane gets jammed and we start to crash into a building? please asnwer this question and help me calm. lease tell me what i can do to get my mind off it, and how to stay calm. what do i do if i get airsick?

I have a new very nice gaming computer and i surf the web alot and dont want to risk getting any viruses so a frined of mine told me i should try out using a Mac. Operating software...he explaied that there was a way that i could run both programs on my computer...Does any one know what he meens? What software would i have to buy in order to make this possible and what would it cost me? What are the pros to running a Mac OS? What can you do?

Recently I've notice that my dog has been a bit temperamental with my baby. One time in the high chair my son was reaching toward the dog and she snapped at him. He pulled his had away. I didn't see what happened, but heard it. On another day my son was laying with me in the chair and leaned over to the dog that was laying on the floor and the dog growled under her breath. My son is about to turn a year old and is starting to really move around the house (crawling). Today, as the baby crawled by the dog, she barked and snapped at him. I got so scared and my husband smacked the dog. Is there anything I can do to make this work. I've had this dog (Lab/Shepard/greyhound mix) for almost 10 years. She has been a great dog, but has seemed more aggressive toward other dogs since my husband came into my life. What can I do to make the dog more accepting of the baby. I don't want to get rid of the dog, but I'm afraid for my baby.

i dont know if its me or not. i been with this boy for a year a 2 weeks i love him with all my heart and soul he means alot to me. but lately i cant see him for so many reasons. but i try calling him he always ignores my phone calls and i leave messages he ignores me last time i talked to him he said i'll brb then he took forever and when he was back i said babe what took you so long and he said dont worry i mean thats just rude i didnt ask for much. like 8 months ago was the last time he sais " i love u" to me by him self with out me saying it first. i believe he doesnt love me no more and btw he has a son with his ex gf and i didnt leave him because im so in love with him and i miss him so so much i dont know im living this twisted feeling im so sad i dont know what to do or say to him. i know he not with that girl because she doesnt live here no more and his son isnt present also. my point is what should i do or say to im?

I have repeatedly read questions on here asking Atheists where they get their morality if not from God. I've read many non-Atheists accuse Atheists of using their lack of belief to get away with "immoral" or sinful behavior. But based on several answers from this question (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ak0Ch2tegn2jYe1eogb.Akc8.Bd.?qid=20070708172947AAlg00R) and previous questions, doesn't this mean that Christians can do whatever they want in life as well?

Now, obviously, some people have answered that what we do in life DOES matter, so I'm also asking, what's the "true" Christian stance here? Does immoral or sinful behavior matter in life or not?

And if it doesn't:

Why pick on homosexuals, Atheists, Agnostics, etc.? Why say they are going to hell or that they are sinners? Why hold nonbelievers to a standard if not believers as well?

After 9/11 we came together as a big family. When you drove down the street you saw flags at almost every house. I can drive 10 miles and be lucky to see 3 or 4. It's seems we bicker about the smallest things that don't really mean anything. What's up with that?

First of all, if you are going to give your opinion please be respectful. Saying things that are rude against such groups will get you nowhere.
Okay, I am going to be a freshman in college this coming fall and I still have not made up my mind on whether or not to join a sorority. I talked with the Greek Coucil Reps and such and they seemed like great people. At the school I will be attending, hazing is not a problem as it is strictly forbidden and punishable so I am not worried about that.
My problem is that I have been an avid member of my debate team throughout highschool and I am planning to join the team in college.
Do you think a sorority will take up too much time?
I am also very against drinking/drugs/excessive partying...
help please :)

If so why are you still buying gasoline. Why do so many that believe this still drive the big SUV's. IF you believe the war is about oil then you should believe that driving a big suv kills more soldiers than driving a fiat or focus or maybe a bycycle.
I myself believe is has to do somewaht with oil and greed from oil companies but it does have a lot to do with oppresion as well. We as a nation cannot believe that just ignoring that kind of oppresion it will go away. We have a responsibility as much has been given to us. I am doing what I can to limit my energy usage are you? What are you doing? I see families of 4 with 4 autos in the driveway. I am not judging but should we not question what we are willing to give up for the safety of others.
Simply put we cut down on the use of petroleum, mostly gasoline and there will not be a need to fight over oil.

I am bisexual and I have been put out the house 4 times, some of them were because my dad did not like my old friend because he was Mexican, I am 19 and my dad is almost 50 and I don't know how things were when he was growing up, but I don't care about that, anyway I have been through some really hard times with my parents, they think who I am is a long phase, well what they do not know is I am exactly who I was meant to be, rather they like it or not, I have been out the closet for 10 months now and I feel good about who I am, I hope you read the question I posted about my blood pressure dropping low a little, and me starting to cry a little and me staring to shake because I had all my feelings trapped in me and about one of my friends standing in front of me holding me because she told me after I came out, she could feel me shaking and she could feel, I just had to LET SOMETHING GO
