Lets say I have an internet router, maybe something from linksys or d-link. I basically wish said router had more ports, so I buy an unmanaged switch to add more ports. How do I connect to two together so that the ports on the unmanaged switch have internet access? Can it be as simple as running an ethernet cable from one of the router ports to one of the unmanaged switch ports? Will the switch just automatically know what I want to happen?

ok so I'm a manager at a store, I have one assit. manager and one CSR (customer service rep). My CSR doesn't like that fact that she does more work then my assit. and gets paid less. So she talked to me about it and I told her that I would talk to my assit. to split up some of the CSR's duties. I found out this week that my CSR, went ahead and spoke to my boss about the situations. I'm started to think these girls have some kinda of personal issue with each other. Well to make things short I basically have to fire my assit now....we have been worked together for almost a year, not only does she knows the in's and out's of work. we have become best friends. our families hang out all the time......any suggestions on how i can let her go without ruining the friendship....cause I really dont want to lose her as a friend??? please anyone else been in a similiar situation that can put their two sense in???

I worked for a company for 2 months and was let go. I was not on a probation period and had never been told my prformance was any issue. The reason given to me was that they did not feel my sense of urgency to bring in business was high enough. I was consistently bringing in business just as much as the other reps in the company but they stated I did not display a sense of urgency that they were looking for. I was never reprimanded by my superiors nor did anyone ever talk to me about any performance issues. My new sales manager set a goal that he put out to all reps and then followed it up with an email to me and another new rep stating that the new goals did not apply to us and that he was very happy with our performance. This perplexes me as to why I was let go. I know Texas is a right to work state but I thought since their corporate office is in North Carolina Imight be able to persue a course of action against them. Yes, I have already found a new job.

Lately I just want to isloate myself from everyone...I was very sociable and I am really outgoing. But I just have too many problems with every aspect of my life..like family, they are too controlling (im 19) and abusive and it's mentally hurting me. Im badly depressed too. Then there is my bf..it's a long distance relationhship and it's really stressful...and then my personal life...I have an eating disorder :( and Im always sick....I just want to get the hell away frm everyone, even those I love. I just want to be on my own. alone. Just hearing another person talk makes me want to snap. People's presence makes me so angry I start screaming. Im so scared that the normal socialble me is turning into a psycho :( I just want to be alone...is that bad? I feel like I dont even know myself...and I want to be alone and learn about myself and see who i really am and see what i really want. But there is no way I can be alone, i cant move out..my parents wount let me.but I want to runaway soon.

3/4 of the people that immigrate here legally do it because they have family here. 1/4 do it because they are able to invest $1,000,000,000 into the economy. Some do it by winning the green card lottery(50,000year). Now, other than that there is no way to immigrate here legally. You cant just apply and expect to be approved because IT WONT HAPPEN. So the so called proud people that emigrated here legally were lucky because they had family here. If they didnt, they would sneak across the border or overstay their visa and be illegal. So dont say that there is a way to be legal here, because unless you are rich or have family here or win the lottery(millions of applicants - 50K winners) there is no way.

I am having a baby in about 2 weeks and my 18 month old daughter is very jealous. She doesn't like for me to pay attention to any other children besides her. She doesn't even like for my 5 year old to hug me. She is jealous to the point that she will fight another child over me. Once she tried to drag a newborn out of my lap by his foot. Thank goodness I had a good grip on him. What can I do to make her accept this new child in the family without her feeling angry or left out? I also need to make sure I can ensure the baby's safety.

I was talking to a woman who worked in a boutique and we were talking about New York City and the diversity of people and cultures and she mentioned that she had relatives in New Jersey. I said, "Oh that's neat! Is the land expensive there?" She responded, "I don't actually know, my aunt and uncle live there...to tell you the truth it's really like the dumps!"

And she's not the only person I've heard this from! Even in movies "Jersey" is referred to as "less than" or "ghetto" especially when compared to "the city" (NYC). Do people who actually live in Jersey share this same opinion? And if so why? And if not, why? I'd like to hear your thoughts...

I'm about to go into full time work for the first time, as i am leaving college, and i know nothing about employment law and contracts. I really want a new car, which i will be able to afford with the pay from my new job as a trainee accountant. The thing is, i don't want to take out the loan if I don't have security that I won't just get fired for no reason. What rights do i have? Is it reasonable for me to request that I be given a longer period of notice than the law requires? Is it likely that they'll let me put that into the contract? and does this override the fact that by law they only have to give me 24 hours notice within the first 4 weeks? Please help, i'm confused
