It's disheartening to hear such selfish questions. You obviously have failed to recognize (or refuse to believe) that there is a fragile, delicate ecological balance between all men, plants and animals, without which none of Earth's species would survive.
I wonder if you'd feel the same way if the elephant was the dominant species on Earth and they felt that YOU were the 'oafish beast' that are 'useless' and 'destroy everything'.
We were given dominion over all things on Earth, and we (man, that is) have done a dreadfully terrible job of being stewards to the Earth. It's acceptable for US to 'destroy everything' as we plunder through vast rain forests, oceans, mangrove forests, jungles and plains that have been home to millions of wonderful creatures for countless millennium. WHY? All so we can more money.
What a sad and failed species we have become. Instead of sharing Earth's bounty with all species, we have chosen to squander it all for ourselves. Surely we will pay dearly for such negligence. -RKO- 06/15/07

Now seriously, theres no reason you can't live trap em and release them into the wild. You just need a big carboard boxe, some string, and a tree to prop up the box. Than drag those pesky critters about 50 miles into the jungle and let em go; don't worry they'll be terrified of having been in a dark box so you have time to leave before it spots you. Or maybe you should plant something other than peanuts?

Whinne, If you have decided that all cruel people need to die, does that not make you cruel yourself?
To answer this, they are living creatures also that deserve our respect. Yes, they are a threat to crops but does that mean that they should no longer exist? That's like saying "Since humans take up a part of our land they need to be destroyed". That is a bit irrational.
