A distinguished young woman on a flight from Switzerland asked the priest beside her, "Father, may I ask a favor?"

"Of course. What may I do for you?"

"Well, I bought an expensive woman's electronic hair dryer for my mother's birthday that is unopened and well over the Customs limits, and I'm afraid they'll confiscate it. Is there any way you could carry it through Customs for me? Under your robes perhaps?"

"I be glad to help you, dear, but I must warn you: I will not lie."

She nodded and accepted the risk. "With your honest face, Father, no one will question you."

When they got to Customs, she let the priest go ahead of her.

The official asked, "Father, do you have anything to declare?"

"From the top of my head down to my waist, I have nothing to declare."

The official thought this answer was rather strange, so he asked, "And what do you have to declare from your waist to the floor?"

"I have a marvelous instrument designed to be used on a woman, but which is, to date, unused."

It took a moment for the customs man to absorb the statement, but once he did he had a hard time keeping a straight face as he called out, "Next!

So, Ok....my husband TRIES to be know it all. (like most men)..We have a one year old son. I am a stay home mom, so in essence i have created a schedule for feeding, napping, etc. I have been sticking to it...dinner at 5:30-6, plays, snack, bedtime around 8...so far so good. BUT tonight, my husband had this IDEA that he should take our son out for a walk...well, like most babies, movement puts them to sleep, esepecially when they havent slept since 2 this afternoon. so, of course, after dinner, at 6:30, he took him for a walk and he TOOK A NAP for an HOUR...so, of cousre, when he came home, he didnt want to go to sleep until after 9...AND of cousre, our son ONLY wants ME to put him to bed....He also does it while i am feeding him..OH you should try, this, that....DO i go to HIS job and start "trying to make things easier for him???"
anyone else have these annoyances?? thanks for listening to me vent!!

My husband just left to return to Iraq. He was home on his leave for two weeks after only 2 1/2 months there. Now he has about another 12 months to go before he gets to come home. I don't think he will have another leave in that time. I miss him so much already, and I am afraid for his safety. We have been married for only about a year and a half, and most of that time we spent apart due to Basic Training, AIT, etc. This is his first deployment. I'm trying to be strong, but don't quite know how to make time pass quicker. I know this question has been asked many times already by different people, but does anyone have any suggetions on how to cope, and how to make this easier for him as well? Anybody in a similar situation?
Please, serious answers only. This is hard enough without people being jerks about it.

This could be a well known classic, or a Novella or just a short stroy that changed your life????? I had several....."Excape from Warsaw, Anya, The Thornbirds, Spartacus....to many to mention, but it was a biography of Joan Baez that mad me want to be a Writer,for that I felt within my blood immediately!!! You see I bought this camera that has super zoom,image stabilizer, 6 MP. I did not want to buy another format type DSLR. Did not want to start over again buying lenses. I used a 35mm Nikon for many years. My choice I thought was a good one- the Sony DSC-H2.
I missed some great shots today because of 1 sec next shot delay.I got real mad at any delay. I forgot it had burst of shots. My question:
Do DSLR have ANY next shot delay?

alot of people say because its breaking a law but there is a lot of american citizens{no matter what race} that also break laws. Ex.drugs,murder,rape,child abuse,D.U.I., stealing. Those are all laws and they break them everyday! so what is the big deal. They just want to get paid like everyone else does.
