Today at my appointment the doctor said I was 1 cm dialated and that my cervix is very ripe. Im 36 weeks. Does this mean labour is close? and is there anything i could do to speed it up?

A girl changed her mind about dating you and, being honest, told you it was because she has unresolved issues from a rape/childhood abuse, and doesn't think that it's a good idea?

I don't know if it sounds like I'm being honest, or TMI, or what.. I need a guys perspective on this!

FTR: He's a friend of a friend, I've been out with him once before, in November, after the mutual friend's birthday, and he's been asking me out since. And yes, what I'm saying is legit and is the reason I am freaking out over the idea of going out with him... I don't know why I agreed, I thought the panic would go away but it hasn't and I can't handle it.

And just to be clear, I'm 20, he's 22. Plus I know he's desperate to lose his virginity; and I don't trust that he wouldn't emotionally lean on me a little to get me to sleep with him. Which I do NOT want to do. And no, it's not "one date" that I have or am agreeing to.

especially in nature park or the like where dogs are clearly banned or required to wear leashes? dont you love when the dog comes up to your crouch to sniff and the owner giggly says 'Dont worry, he's friendly'? The Nature of the World Drama Cycle
The cycle of five epochs, comprising Golden-Age, Silver Age, Copper-Age and Iron Age and the confluence Age repeats exactly everytime after it has turned full wheel. During every cycle, the souls who are the actors on this world-drama stage will be the same. Each soul will act the same part in every cycle since, in the soul itself is indelibly ingrained the part it has played life after life in the previous cycle or that it has to repeat cycle after cycle. Just as in a tape record or a gramophone record, a whole song or drama is recorded and it repeats every time the record is played, even so, a soul’s role in this world drama is recorded in the soul itself which is only self-luminous, conscient point. The soul replays the part once every 5000 years, because each one of the four eras of the world-drama being equal to 1250 years, the duration of one World Cycle is 5000 years.

My daughter is 4 years old. And I really don't feel that I need to be talking to her about saving herself for marriage, or sex issues. I feel she is just to young. My mother in-law, has never had a daughter, and she is always mentioning these adult subjects to my baby girl. She has also said that I did not need to allow my daughter to wear a 2 piece or even little tank tops, or shorts that are short. She said that if you start dressing them that way, it only ask for trouble later.
My daughter is only 4. I don't let her run around naked, and I do try to teach her the need to be somewhat modest, but I really feel that I need to wait until she is a little older before I have the sex talks with her. What do you think?

MySpace has hired a team of security officers to patrol their network to fish out over 600,000 child predators that use the site. However, the ACLU is planning to sue MySpace for violating the privacy of the child predators, saying that their use of the site is legal and protected by the First Amendment.

What do you think: should preying on children be a Constitutionally protected right that all child molesters can enjoy, or should the ACLU back off and put the interests of children ahead of putting money in its lawyers' pockets?

Here is a bigger question: WHICH 10 "Commandments"? (they are not called commandments in the bible)

It's amazing how many people don't know, or ignore the fact that there were TWO sets of stone tablets!

Don't believe me? Read both Exodus 20 (the tablets Moses broke) and Exodus 34 (the second set, with....different commandments???).

Then, just to make things more confusing, try reading the different TRANSLATIONS of the 10 Commandments:
Protestant, Catholic, Hebrew

Whew! Exhausting!

I see alot of teens with phsych,or emotional problems on this site..I want so badly to help and try and cheer them up,or give what I think is good advice,but I am worried....If one of these kids end up hurting themselves,can anybody come back on me,asking questions like"why didnt you tell someone"or show me your phsych degree"????serious answers only please....this is important to the way I use this site in the future.....Thank you for looking at this question.......Robert.

Well, its this time of the year when the sun is at its extreme performance. For work i used a motorbike for past few days. And during these days my skin color changed and now it is turning out to be a dark brown color. Especially i am worried about my hands as they have been mostly effected by the sun. Is there anyway that can help me in protecting me from the harmfull sun, and also to get my skin color back to its original state.
For the past few days, i've been using L'oreal's Active NIGHT repair system. It is working fine for my face, but isnt much effective on my hands. Any suggestions ... ?

Our accounts office has a pretty slow computer which has had a problem with its CD Rom. AN expert was called and he Installed a new LG CD rom with the reason that the "eye" of the former CD Rom had a problem. Now the CD Rom runs so loud it shakes the CPU once the PC is put on. Checking the specifications from the new CD Rom Package.... it states that its recommended for 256MB Ram system requirements. could it be the problem? The expert says its the fan which has the problem. I dont believe it. What do you think? The PC's has the following; pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz, 192 MB of RAM
