Today top law enforcement officers from eight states on Monday asked MySpace.com to turn over the names of REGISTERED SEX OFFENDERS who use the social networking Web site.

From the Rocky Mountain Telegram:

..."I am deeply disappointed and troubled by this unreasonable and unfounded rejection of our request for critical information about convicted sex offenders whose profiles are on MySpace," Blumenthal said. "By refusing this information, MySpace is precluding effective enforcement of parole and probation restrictions that safeguard society."

These are for CONVICTED sex offenders, not suspected.

Who do you think is right? The Attorney Generals whose job it is to protect our children? Or MySpace whose job it is, well to make money?

What protections should we extend to our FELONS? Do we owe the same protection to our children? More protection?

Hi there im Phil im 16 and im just about to leave school in a month or so after exams, anywho ive been asking in my local area at all the different halls if i could have a party their and failed every time cause they say ill only get drunk and wreck the place! Im really anoyed now because i've asked at about 8 different halls and they all said no because of my age. We have no local facilities for someone my age and i have to travel all the way to Tunbridge Wells, dont know if youve heard of it?? and all there is a small building, which used to be a toilet called the forum full of emo's and druggies, which isnt my thing. Ive thought about campaigning for a club or something but they'll only ignore me cause im 'to young'. Ahhh! all i wanna do is go to a place where they play descent music and have fun with my friends, maybe some lights, if im lucky!

I was having a conversation about this with my girl friends last night and we all agreed we'd much rather get something noncommital at the end of a date like "It was fun. See you around" than "I'll call you" or some other variation of it. I never EXPECT a guy to say he's going to call, and when he does say it I have hope he might. Something like "see ya later" would be better, I think.

Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast."

1. It is God's grace that saves a man from hell.

2. It is not a man's faith that saves him from hell because a man's faith is a gift from God. A man's faith is not some personal attribute that a man makes for himself.

3. It is not a man's good works that saves him from hell because doing good and being a good person is not enough to save a man from hell.

4. Therefore, it is not a man's faith or goodness that saves him from hell. The only thing that saves a man from hell is God rescueing him. Man is naturally doomed to go to hell unless God resues him.

5. God rescues man from the inevidibility of hell by way of Jesus and what He did on the cross. Jesus died on the cross to pay for the sins of man so that God would not judge man and send him to hell.

I just flipped the channel on tv and was watching this mom on Maury crying because her 2-year old weighs 120 pounds but she feeds him all kinds of crap because "otherwise he will have a tantrum".
