is it true? any suggestions? (I know, stop smoking! I'm almost there) - any other way to whiten my teeth? thanks so very much.

haven't you heard that smoking causes cancer a lot more than any teeth whitener? Give up smoking and you wont need the whitener.

Good whitners do not cause cancer and I think your concern of cancer is a little late seeing as how you are a smoker. Granted you are quiting as you stated in your post but you were not concerned with cancer when you were smoking regualarly and now you are worried about whitner causing cancer when most do not cause cancer..............ummmmmmmmmm yeah. Go pick up crest white strips and start using those. They are the ones my dentist recommended for our family.

There have been no scientific studies linking tooth whitening agents to cancer of any kind.

I never heard of that. But I would be more worried about the cigs, lol. I'm a former smoker and have been using crest strips for over 3 years. Works everytime. Even my dentist now offers the professional strength strips. I'm not sure of the link but it's work really good for me. =)

okay so you're inhaling a leading cause of lung cancer with no worries
but then you hear that whitener can cause cancer and you freak?
which do you think is worse?
bleach or lung cancer?
