I work at a day care in the infant/toddler room. We have a policy that each child is allowed to play with what ever toys are available on any given day. It is against this policy to restrict any child from playing with a certain toy at anytime unless another child is already playing with the toy.
We have a little boy in our room whose father demands that we only let his son play with "boy toys". He only wants his son to play with trucks, blocks and such. NO DOLLS are permitted. It is the same with his daughter who is also in this room. She is not allowed to play with trucks or such. He states only "girl toys" for her.
Do with go with this father's directions or not? How do we get him to accept our policy as is?

I work for a one person office, so it's only me and my boss. I'm nervous since I completely run the office. I am just about 12 weeks. I will take off 6 - 8 weeks, but since it's just us, I know it's unpaid and I'm fine with that. What are you thoughts of when and how I can tell him?

I sit in the stands like a spectator, watching all the bashing between the two. Sometimes I see a really great debate going on and other times I see, well just crap..
I honestly believe that either one will never change the minds of the other until undeniable proof of one side is presented. The discussion is one that will always be. If you ever want to be taken serious, know the difference between Cussing and Discussing.

I'm going to take my driving test this week and my friend is letting us use her car because my husband's car is not a good car to use for the driving test and it's manual. I read that you need to provide proof of insurance? Did anyone else have to do this? I am not on my friends insurance and I didn't think I had to, my sister and my husband got their license in Arizona and they did not have to provide proof of insurance.

Eagle Bridge, NY — April 9, 2007 — Last week Speaker Nancy Pelosi traveled to Damascus to visit with Syrian President Bashar Assad. While there, she delivered a message that “Israel was ready to engage in peace talks” with Syria. The Israeli prime minister denied he had given Ms. Pelosi any such message. The United States has severed high-level contacts with Syria, and the White House strongly critized Pelosi’s visit.

The Assad family gained power during a coup in 1971. President Assad is suspected of supporting the terrorist groups Hazbollah, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad, and is widely credited with the murder of former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq al-Hariri in 2005. The U.N. is considering charges against Assad. On her visit, Speaker Pelosi declared: “We came in friendship, hope, and determined that the road to Damascus is a road to peace.”

Any American citizen, including members of Congress, may meet with foreign governments on fact finding missions. However, the Logan Act, passed in 1799, forbids unauthorized citizens from negotiating with foreign governments under penalty of fines and up to three years in prison. The Supreme Court has stated: “Into the field of negotiation the Senate cannot intrude, and Congress itself is powerless to invade it.” House Foreign Affairs Chairman Tom Lantos declared: “We have an alternative Democratic foreign policy” and “this is only the beginning of our constructive dialogue with Syria.”

I think Harry Potter will be the last horcrux becasue voledemort gave part of his sole to Harry when he tried to kill him, so he will have to kill himself to defeat voldemort.

I also think that Dumbledore will come back and save Harry.

Do you think Harry will die?

For most if not all the questions I have asked or have read questioning the validity of the existence of God on yahoo Atheists seem to balloon their hatred and then pop on cue. Note, I am not generalizing, but based on what i have seen, most people who question God and by extension their existence are told (even with profanities) that they are idiots and wasting their time. Often the logic or the solution to this is placing confidence in theories, someday spacecrafts that will take us to the other planets, or to live and simply die with our purposeless lives. If all Atheists can dabble in their own fantasies why beat down someone who wishes to freely believe in their fantasies(huh?). What are u ppl really angry at? Our freedom to worship? Are we all illogical folk by placing confidence in religion and not in your accepted truth? Answer...I wait so tentatively.
