I undederstand that some of these teachers out here are not perfect at what they do and some that shouldnt even be teaching, but to that, that is why it is getting harder for people to become teachers. Which is great. We need teachers who are great at what they do and still love the job!

Research some of this:
Avg pay of a teacher in the US. Figure out pay per hour. (how many days in the teaching contract, usually about 190 , and how many hours in a contract school day, usually around 8) Compare that rate of pay to many other careers, especially those that are life impacting. Oh, and especially with pro sports players! That one always makes us teachers feel oh so loved!

Now, use that same pay rate and get real with it. Go with those same number of days, but how many hours does a teacher REALLY work).

Cost of keeping up teacher certification versus what school districts will reimburse. (Look up recertification standards for the state to see how many graduate hours are needed, check with local districts for reimbursement.) Most companies will pay to send their people to school to keep them up to date and current.

How many teachers work second jobs or full time jobs during the summer to supplement their pay?

Teacher pay compared to poverty level earnings in the US. Many teachers will fall below the national poverty lines.

Hope that helps!! And good luck!!

Just Google some articles out of newspapers. There have been tons and tons of them written. I don't agree with you because I'm tired of tenured professors that are lousy and make lots and lots of $ and work very few hours. I've had lots of teachers over the years that were just excellent and just as many that were just doing the motions. And then there were those terrible ones. . .that should never have been around small children and the others that were really stupid and then those that just didn't know how to teach. . .and on and on. . .and yet these people are able to keep teaching. . .If I do my job like they do theirs, I would not have a job. And for those that do a good job, thank you very much. I at least learned capitalization and punctuation.

It sounds like you followed the SAT writing prompts pretty close to perfect. However, it may be that in your English class, you fail to give 100%, do not follow the directions as expected for better grades. She may not be fond of your 'wisecracks all the time', but that is not considered when grading. Most districts require teachers to use 'rubrics' which are prepared point values for different grading purposes, such as 10% on spelling, 10% for punctuation, 70% for content, 10% for title, paragraph construction etc.

You may want to begin you research with school districts, examine the salary that teachers are paid in different districts and states. Depending on the time you are allotted my want to conduct a study. Create a scale to evaluate the pay, the work the teacher must put in and their significance in our society.

you should search the countries that the teachers are getting paid too little and these countries' education level.
and then you can compare them with your own country..

you can write an introduction about the importance of the education, definition of the education..and you can quote, showing that education can not be without teachers...

then you can write about the working conditions of the teachers and compare them with some other professions.

and so on...

good luck

be careful about writing from general to specific.
