I'm just asking about global warming cuz something struck my interest this morning. Someone asked what my views were so I'll share.I believe global warming is happening and I don't know for sure what's causing it, but I do think that if believing that we're causing it will make us take steps to make the world better for future generations instead of worse I will go along with that.
I am pretty liberal on most issues but very conservative on some. I'm just trying to see what other people's views are. So why do some people feel the need to be constantly outraged by everything?

recently, a very arrogant and intellectually tiny member here, posted that blacks were less intelligent than whites, that studies showed a distinct connection between race and iq.
while studies are valuable and can indicate quite a lot.often they are only viewed with bias and without thought or understanding of cultural nuance.
i ask this question because i would like to suggest that it is in bad form to ask such questions, it is in bad form to search out and suggest weakness in others. i would suggest one exception is needed to break a theory and there are several that i can think of.
that being said, i have "statistics" that "prove" christians in particular are less intelligent than less religious and even athiest folks. i think it is interesting to see how those that were so willing to suggest "it's all in the numbers" when it came to black people, will deal with this piece od information.

I would like to know what to do. Am i being over protective of my friend. maybe I just don't see it. I have known this friend for about 2 years now. she is a great person but her friend she has known for a lot longer I believe is a very bad influence. Because of their history it's hard for my friend to say no to her. She drinks & drives and I even caught her smoking up while driving. I found out that she has done this many times. I have talked to my friend many times about how I believe what she does isn't safe. but I don't think she is listening. she says it doesnt bother her. I don't know what else to do. Is there a way I can make her see her friend for what she really is.
I always get scared and worried when they go out together. what should I do?

I just got a LCD HDTV flatscreen and want to get cable. I looked online and cant figure this out. Do I have to get HD cable since I have the tv or can I get cheaper cable non HD too. Got the TV as a gift and never had cable so no clue on this
