i have been on there site but i cant find any information on the methods of promotion they use, i know they use TV, print, cinemas and the internet. but unsure, do they use merchandising, direct mail (e.g. trail packs , coupons) and do they a sponser of anything, (either event or a program etc)
so please could you help me and give examples of some of the promtion methods they use now of have used for any of the mars products (snacks only)

Mars recently decided to stop advertising to kids below 12 years of age. They have an M&M Nascar #38 David Gilliland that races (you have to have a good eye to see the fast moving ads), they have the M&M float/ baloon that advertises during many parades, Mars is doing online/ offline promotions invloving serial numbers on the inside of the packaging to promote you to come to their site. The big thing they are doing is partnering with outside companies such as Disney (Pirates of the Carribean movie), Dyers icecream (candy in icecream), Shock Zone (football related), Flipside Network and Warner Home Video (interactive games).
