FeCl3 + KBr ---> ???

Specifically, I need to know which halogen is formed. I did a lab in which I THINK Cl2 was indicated as the halogen formed. But isn't Cl2 a better oxidizing agent than KBr? So why would Cl2 be formed rather than Br2? Am I wrong about something?

I worked 7 months in California as a contractor. My employer is in Massachusetts but the client is in California. Based on the non-resident income tax form, only California source income is subject to income tax. I think my income is not based in California. Am I correct? My employer withheld CA income tax.

I'm a mother of a 17yr daughter, a 15yr son and a 12yr daughter. In Sept, my son started making friends with the wrong group of kids, getting into serious trouble and doing horrible in school. To fix his problem, I was told by many to just "talk" to my son about his behavior and how it was unacceptable. I believe though that at 15, you should already know what behavior will and will not be tolerated so my husband and I punished him with a "house arrest". He wasn't allowed to leave the house (unless it was to go to school or work with my husband), have friends come over, lost privileges and our trust until he turned his goals and grades around. After 6 months I was happy to see him make an almost complete turn around in his life and slowly earn back everything he had lost. I spoke about how I brought him to success at a school meeting about a week ago and was surprised to hear a couple of parents and teachers say that I was too harsh on my son. Anyone else agree?

I work at a daycare and we have a tree covered in caterpillar nests. I decided to save some that were close to death (aka being stepped on by two year olds). I brought about 25 home in a large plastic box with leaves, grass and sticks. I read up and researched that they are eastern tent caterpillars. Should I just put them in a tree and see what happens, or should I put them back where I got them? Or, should I keep them in the plastic box?

i think anerexics are just people who, just like many of us, feel pressured to be thin. they are too lazy to exercise so they just dont eat. then they wanna call themselves anerexic and act like they have some kind of mental disorder? sounds like theyre just trying to play it off.

I was with my boyfriend for 14 years, we have 2 kids. 2 and a half years ago we broke up. He met someone else, and I dated. A year ago he came to me and said he wanted me back, That he loved me and missed me. He wanted his family back. I still loved him. He broke up with the other woman, and we started dating again. Things were going great. We never fought, we love the same things. We even talked about getting married. On New Years Eve after going out and having a wonderful time, he said to me I want to date other woman, I am just not into you anymore. I was shocked. Now he treats me like I meant nothing to him. He even went back to the woman he was dating. He promised me that he would never leave me and the kids, that we fit together. I belived every word he said, I feel like a total fool. Now I am left alone again, he did not spend more than 1 month alone before he went back to that woman. He always has to have someone. He pays child support. But I am still bitter. Would you be?

My sister and I have't spoken in months due to rift that was caused by her and her boyfriend. It was bad and hurtful enough for me to want to cut her out of my life for the time being. Well, low and behold she is now pregnant. Just looking for some opinions on how I should handle this. Should I pretend everything is okay for a new babies sake. And additional question. I hate the babies father. Like if he died tomorrow I'd laugh, kind of hate him. How do I deal with that in conjunction with my neice or nephew. This is a new experience for me so I'm not sure what's what. Thanks for all you help.

Ps. I'm not an ordinarily mean or hateful person. But he's a drug addict and on welfare so maybe you can see what I mean. He's also a mean son of a *****. And trying to convince her to leave him isn't going to work. It's been tried buy multiple family members and she's an adult so we don't get any say in her life.
