Someone told me there was a strong mathematical significance to this date! He is a professor at Yale.

4 is 2 squared, 9 is 3 squared, and 49 is 7 squared... whoa....any other input is welcomed.

the year (yy)^2 is the month-date M-D
07^2 = 49

The only thing I can see is that 49 is the square of 7, but that can't be it. Too obvious.
