I'm Vietnamese so my skin naturally tans every chance it gets. I would really love for a paler complextion. Are there any HEALTHY ways to get paler skin?

Thanks in advance.

You can use bleaching soaps (Kojic acid is strong yet very safe), bleaching creams (Kligman's), bleaching lotion (Kojic acid). The whitening effect will be seen after regular use, not overnight. The products are very safe and dermatologist tested.

Other than avoiding the sun, or covering up when you're outside, I can't think of any ways to naturally lighten your skin. You could try makeup, but that would be a huge pain to put on full-body makeup each day, I'd imagine.
I doubt you'd want to go the Michael Jackson route...

Use a sun screen lotion. If you really want to be white use about a 60 value. They usually recommend a 15 to 30 level to normally avoid skin damage such as cancer so a 60 should really screen out most ultraviolet rays.

Wear sunscreen everyday, or a moisturizer with SPF protection. There are some gentle ways to bleach the skin, but they are expensive. Check out a local Aveda or other salon.

Hey, I'm in the same situation. I was pale when I was little but my skin tans very easily so I'm kind of tanned now and I want to be as pale as I used to. The best advice you can take is to cover yourself. I never wear shorts outdoors so my legs are freakishly pale (well, compared to my already tanned arms).

My advice is to use a 4% Hydroquinone Cream. One product with this cream in it, that is safe and can be used regularly like face cream is called Ultraquin Plain. It's made to be used to lighten hyperpigmented skin. Ask your pharmacist for it.

Stay indoors. If you go outside, wear sunscreen and a big, floppy hat and long sleeves.
