Do the undue criticisms of others sink in, or just roll right off you??

As for me : It depends who is doing the criticising... Although, I tend to be overly emotional a lot of the time, so I do often take it to heart, but then I sit and think about it, and plot maniacal, ridiculous revenge on the person, which helps me laugh about it, and then I look rationally at the issue.... If it's worth a reaction, I react, as calmly as possible and with as much dignity as I can muster... If it's not worth it, I laugh it off.... But I make a mental note of it, and if it happens again, I take the person to task.........

Is it normal to get flu-like symptoms after getting piercings? Both times I got my ears pierced, I got violently ill during the night. I don't know if its coincidence or not, but I want my belly button pierced but I don't want to get sick again :( Does anybody know if its a common occurance after body piercings?

Ok im a sophmore at a all girls highschool in tx.... i hate that its an all girls school i havent not really made any REALYY good new friends dont get me wrong i have friends but just not ones who i hang out with like my friends from middle school who i still see nearly every weekend. the good parts about the school are that its close, doesnt start till 9, and its a good education. My mom told me i can transfer if i want to back to my old school. But im not sure if i want to, i havent been gone for two years and it seems werid but i dont want to be stuck in between anymore!! so is it worth it to transfer or should i stick it out for the next 2 years??? HELP

I am new at doing my income taxes, but I know some people end up owing the IRS. I want to know what are some reasons why people end up owing instead of recieving a refund. My boyfriend is one of those people who has had to pay for the past two years......well, that's how long I've known him. We recently moved and have been here only a short amount of time. We moved when it was really cold out and now that it is warming up, I just found out that my "First" lives four houses down from us.
Would you be weirded out by this? All this time I just thought it was a friendly neighbor waving the times I saw him out as I would leave. Two days ago I saw his mom by our mail boxes, and was wierded out by the possibility of her being my neighbor possibly around the corner. Today, I found out he lives four houses away... Granted it has been several years. But still it is strange. Should I not let it bother me?

I've smoked for years. And it is by far the hardest thing I've ever tried to do. I am in a wheelchair, from MS, so I'm not as active as I used to be. Years ago, before the MS got worse, I worked during the day, and alot of times, if I just stayed busy, I didn't smoke as much. But if I'm talking on the phone or sitting here a t the computer, I sit there a smoke, sometimes, one right after the other. And I don't even realize it till the pack is empty, or sometimes I'll cetch myself half way through another cig. Especially if I'm talking to someone, I don't even remember lighting it up, I cut back on them for awhile, then I seem to start smoking even more. I know when you quit, you're going to have withdrawls, my problem is, what to do to get past them. I've tried gum, and candy. I end up eating candy and smoking a cig. My dad quit years ago using gum and candy. BUT, he is a nervous wreck all of the time. He said he is still tempted to smoke. I don't want to be like that either

I have been with my bf for 2.5months(i am21,hes24)I am his first GF in 2YRS.I could tell he REALLY liked me in the beginning.he took me to meet his parents and friends and invited me EVERWHERE.About a month ago,he started acting really distant and i started to not see him as much(like 1 time a week).Last weekend,he really opened up to me and told me how his ex cheated on him and how he wants to get his life together,then he goes out drinking all the time.I had a talk withhim on Monday about how I feel like he doesnt care about me now,and how i would like to see him more.he was understanding at first,but then said he wanted space,that hes scared and thinks we are moving too fast!also said that he does really care about me and he isnt going anywhere.He told me he would think about this and call me back.i havent talked to him since,and havent tried calling.I want to give him time to think about this,BUT how much more time should I give him?and why is he acting like this?SHOULD I CALL??

My cat had been having diarrhea for a few days, so he stopped getting wet food as per vet's orders. Now he gets dry only--but he did get a little bit of my Chinese food the other night--two nights ago. (He ate some beef and chicken, both with sauce--know he shouldn't have.) Can he actually get sick two nights later?

Now I will be extra vigilant--thought he was all better, but obviously his tummy is more sensitive than it used to be. And no, he wasn't eating any of the food that has been recalled.
