My two female roommates have been so sweet to me and they always help me out. On Valentine's day, they baked cupcakes for me so I feel like I owe them a favor. I thought about making an easter basket for each one of them but I don't want to make it too childish- but cute is great! They are both 22, what kind of things can I put together for them? Thanks!

I finally decided to break up with my bf of 3 years. We could never see eye to eye. Most of our relationship was long distance, my major complaint was that he never had the urge to unite us, he just wanted me to move to him without a proposal, and give up everything I worked for here, a great career, a home and a network of friends. He talked about marriage but never came through, kept saying our arguing was what stopped him. The reason we argued was because I was always telling him how lonely I was without him and how much I want to be with him. He seemed so content with the way things were, and it killed me. The weekend visits were agonizing to me, especially when it was time to say goodbye. It was like my heart was getting ripped out. I love him so much, but been waiting for him to make the move and ask me to marry him, and he wouldnt. I dont get it. I decided to move on, but it is so painful, and draining, I dont know how to do it. How can he do this to me if he loved me ?

we were together for 4-5 years. I developed severe anxiety and depression then we broke up, but still talked for 6 months after. She found someone else, but hid that person from me. I found out and said goodbye to her last sunday. It's been 5 days now and I cant stop thinking about her. Is she thinking about me as much? I know deep down she still cares about me alot, it just sucks. Why won't she just come back to me, i let her go. As they say if you lov something let it go, if it comes back to you its yours to keep?

My room is really blisteringly hot right now, and I can't turn up the A/C or open a window. I've already got one fan going, is there any way to quickly cool off the room? Maybe something using ice? I've gotten so desperate I have a frozen bottle of water in front of the fan in a futile attempt to cool things off in here.

I know a lot of people believe in evolution, however a lie is still a lie no matter how many smug people believe it, right? So is it wrong to out-debate an ignorant militant fundie atheist that takes their talking points from carl sagan, richard dawkins, or some spaghetti man? I am not out to humiliate them, but when they bring up religion and pracitcally force me to debate them with their insults and taunts, is it wrong to crush their little belief system? Can this do lasting damage to their mental state? I have debated this internally with myself because I don't want some fundie atheist to go crazy realizing that there is no evolution and jump off a bridge or something. I do not seek them out, however I just want them to respect my beliefs and stop trying to convert me. They always use the same generalizing, straw man, pot calling kettle black arugments and they are so simple-minded and easy to crush. i guess some people prefer simplistic ideologies like evolution.

What I'm interested in is not the cheap shot that Bush should fry, or that the Democrats are overdoing it.

I'm looking for a simple legal analysis of the issues that the Supreme Court will balance in order to decide the case.

It seems to me like the battle is between executive privilege and prerogatives of Congress, but I'm not a constitutional lawyer. However - complete disclosure - I'm an attorney, and I just look at constitutional questions like this. Can you explain, or direct me to information about this issue? This is not an ideological question -- I'm just curious.
