Try using lower heat.

Of course, if he's going to complain about it all the time, involve him in the cooking process. Tell him that if he thinks he can do a better job, he should teach you how, and that way you wont keep making tough meat. It also gives you an activity together.

lol..your meat probably is tough, but yeah he could say it in a nicer way...or cook it himself. if its steak your cooking you need to make sure the pan is really hot. put the oil on and let that get really hot as well. its also important to only flip the steak once, other wise it will dry out and become tough, just like he says it is. Dont play with it and move it around alot, just let it do its thing. a minute or two or three on either side is fine. you should be eating it medium to medium rare as all other ways is a waste of good meat. and if he still isnt happy tell him to get stuffed and cook it himself.

It can be depending on how he tells you that the meat is tough. If you don't want to hear any comments like that you can go about it 2 different ways.
1.) Tell him to cook himself or he can go somewhere else to eat.
2,) Put some meat tenderizer on the meat and pound the hell out of it so it is nice and tender and you won't have to hear him complain about the meat.
But you need to let him know that that bothers you when he talks about your cooking or your meat.

Yes, it is rude. On the other hand, he may have a point. You need to cook meat 'Low and Slow". This will cause it it to fall apart without fighting with it just to eat it. Try putting your cheaper cuts (even steak) in a casarole with carrots and sweet potatoes and baking for several hours what you normally fry or grill in 12 minutes. You won't believe how tender it will be. Good luck with the Old Man!

I wish u had mentioned what types of meat u`ve cooked. Some require long moist cooking, like a roast or round steak.
others, like t-bone or porterhouse steaks char broil quickly. If
indeed ur meat is tough, perhaps ur buying cheaper cuts of meat that require longer cooking time or ur over-cooking high
quality meats. If the complaints keep up, he can always take u out to eat or I`d tell him to eat elsewhere or shut-up.

No. Its not an insult. Its an observation. Next time try pounding the meat before you cook it. Yes he should be thankful you even made him a meal but if your going to do something nice. Do it right.

Yes it's rude but at least he IS being honest with you!

Try buying meat that's already cooked or frozen and you just have to warm it up!

Don't get offended at least he is not lying to you and just cook the meat a little longer.

it's not that rude. he's just being honest.

try cooking something that you know is perfect. otherwise, leave it up to the pros.

would you want him to fix your car? or paint your apartment if he really can't do it right? would you really want him to continue eating your pus*y if he can't do it right? sure, you appreciate the gesture, but nobody likes a waste of time.

don't be so sensitive, cooking meat is just not your thing, and that's ok.

Yes you can take it as rude, but would you not want to know the truth and then find a way to make it so its not so Tuff, personally I'm not a person for false complements I'd just as soon have the truth so I could fix it the next time.
