Oh I feel for you! And it just gets worse, im 31 weeks. This is what I do:
-Take tums
-Take Maylax ( I think thats what its called, its totally gross, but safe to take while pregnant, and does work)
-Drink milk
-Avoid spicy food, although sometimes you get heartburn even when you dont eat something spicy.
-You could always call your doctor, and get a perscription
Good luck, I hope ive helped!

I take tums. Check the bottles of the heartburn meds to make sure what the amounts are and if pregnant women can take it.
If you still feel uncomfortable with taking anything... a large glass of milk should do the trick!

For instant relief tums...But if it is as bad as mine was I had to take prescription strength meds and the only one that is safe is Prevacid. Zantac also known as rantidine is not safe for baby especially that early in pregnancy. Sorry heartburn really sucks!! hopefully yours goes away after baby is born, mine didn't.
Good luck!!

When I was pregnant with my children I always had heartburn. 7-up helped somewhat as so did the tums or rolaids. Nothing helped completely for me. I had it through my whole pregnancy. Hope yours gets better and hope these help.

Oh man, I totally remember that when I was pregnant. My doctor told me the only safe thing to take is Tums. And try not to lay down right after eating, that will help. It will get better, trust me. Hang in there!

Tums...they have a daily limit on them for pregnant women. My dr said that was fine. Check with your dr if you feel uncomfortable with the answers given here. Congrats on the pregnancy
PS I craved tums with my last baby...ich they sure don't taste the same now! (lol)

Tums they come in a variety of flavors now and they also give you calcium which is a great benefit. I lived on those during my pregnancies.
