it comes out when he poops. it comes out all the time. he is 3, will he grow out of it? he is border collie/ lab mix

If you mean it does not retract, then that is a real problem (no joke) and may need a "purse string" to keep it in until it goes back to normal. Otherwise, like the others said. One other thing, a castrated dog can still get fast with a female in standing heat - he just can't make puppies.

It's fine, it's not sexual, you only need to worry if it comes out and stays out 24/7, because that will cause medical problems. If it is only when he poops it's ok.

my 8yr previous male has been neurted on account that he replaced into 6month previous. he nevertheless humps issues it does not final long and he acts disapponited lol. he even tries to get on my 3yr previous woman canine who's spayed she seems at him like what the hell are you doing? neither of them ever mated so the instict is there yet not any knowlege of intercourse. so i don't think of there is any thank you to end it sorry solid luck

Sorry hun, this will not stop. Pressure when expelling stool pushes the penis out. Sitting can also cause exposure. If it tends to be out constantly, and more than a half inch, just ask your vet. i hate to say it and dont mean to offend, sounds like he's just well....lucky..lol.

This is a muscle reaction to the "push" it is non sexual. And, it is not connected to being or not being neutered. Check his
diet and see that he is not straining too hard to defecate.
Try some yogurt added to his food.

i agree w/the afore mentioned answers. my moms cocker spaniel is 16, still does that. only when he poos or pees. he's fixed too, has been since 6m/o.
