Physical responses- if you're inside her, the vaginal walls should contract and release with the orgasm. A gush of extra lubrication may come, but this depends on the woman- some have it, some don't.
But some women are good actors. Really, the best way to find out is to cultivate an open and honest relationship with your women, so that if she isn't pleased, she isn't afraid to tell you and the two of you can work together to remedy that.

There's not really any consistent pattern to female orgasms necessarily. Some women may almost always have one particular indication, but others don't. I personally usually have contractions internally, but these can be faked. Furthermore, I don't always have them, or at least they are not always noticeable. My nipples usually harden, but not always. My breathing generally speeds up immediately before and slows down immensely afterwards, but again, this can be faked.
The main way to tell if she's faking or not is to know her...really well. If she cares for you, trusts you with her body, and believes you have the best in mind for her, she'll be less likely to fake it.
I personally never fake it, because I think it's stupid. If I fake an orgasm for my boyfriend or a frequent lover, I'm training him to do the same thing (which didn't work this time) in the future. If I fake an orgasm for a casual acquaintance, I'm giving him false expectations about how easily it is for a woman to orgasm, which means that all the other women he ever sleeps with in the future will suffer because of my stupidity.
Next time, instead of discussing this with your friends, discuss it with your girl.

Only we know for sure when we faked.
The sad thing is that sometimes we have to.
So please - ask yourself this - because I promise you, it will improve your sex life....why is it that people fake it?
Shouldn't it be okay to "not" sometimes?
Should it be okay to say "I need this or that"?
And finally - is it just okay to quit when the moment passes and still enjoy the experience.?
I work with a lot of people that have a lot of issues around this - and those questions would save folks a lot of grief

Like some of the other people have said if she spasms. If the orgasm is real her body will tense up then release.

A lot of woman when they have climaxed and while they are climaxing their toes curl. their nipples are hard and lubracation is more. If you are intune with your partner you should be able to notice without a doubt whether or not she is trying to put one over on you.

It is not about the sounds we make, it is about shivering! When I reach orgasm I hardly breath and my legs shiver insanly. It is easy for you to understand, if you are tracking the right clues :)

Sounds like the men on here have also been duped...lol...omg. Anyone can pant and "curl their toes" and so on and so on.
For all you "tigers" out there, hows about a lil clip from "When Harry met Sally" - you know, just to throw things back into perspective for you. http://youtube.com/watch?v=zf82iXrZaxs

well the thing about nipples getting hard is a myth, or at least its not true for all women. i think most gals will have a noticeable flush afterwards, though.
