I used to be very shy and have low esteem. As I am now of an age when I have to sit lots of interviews and interact with people I have worked on my confidence levels to a point that I am happy with. I also try to be as true a gentleman as I can, not only in my conduct (rising when a lady enters the room, for example) but also in my general outlook and demeanour.

I fear that I may be coming across as arrogant because of this, though; I am not, as I abhor arrogance as a general trait, but feel that other people may see me as being arrogant.

How can I combat this assumption, as it is a label I really, really don't want?

Hi, I am Japanese and have straight hair, i was thinking of dying it but i have to bleach it first. I have heard that bleaching straight hair makes it curly, but would it wreck my straight hair?

I know that sincerity must be genuine and to play at being something you are not is seen as false, but I am truly kind and thoughtful, considerate and polite, yet I seem to generate a aurora that people dislike immediately.
I used to try too hard and I figured that put people off, but I have long since stopped being so stressed and unhappy about it. Nontheless I would still like to be the sort of person people were drawn to.
Can anyone tell me what I may being doing wrong?

Yet, there is no evidence given to support God authorized the Jews to establish oral tradition interpreting what is (or is not) Messianic prophecy. So my question is, what authority gives preeminence to oral tradition over the Bible where Messianic prophecy is concerned?

its been 3 weeks and still pain, softball size and had 6 days steroids.

Ok, one day I was watching a TV ad for "Premonition" and I saw the MPAA Rating and went WTF???It said PG-13 for some violent content, disturbing images, thematic material and brief language. I'm like, why can't they just put "PG-13 for violence and language? Are they trying to make it as long as possible. Thats what made me decide to do this little contest for whoever tries to make the longest, logical MPAA rating. You can only use words the MPAA would use and you have to be serious about it (don't be all sarcastic). Try to beat mine: Rated R for sequences of strong brutal creature violence/carnage, graphic nudity, some disturbing images, brief strong language, a crash scene, crude humor, substance abuse, grisly afterviews of horrific and bizarre killings, crude humor and double-entendres

I am trying to rebuild my credit after ID theft and a couple of small misteps I made. I obtained a secured credit card and another credit card - should I charge something each month and pay it off immediately? Or just not charge anything and have the credit cards? Which has the most positive impact on raising your credit scores? They are low limit cards and I am in a position to pay them off each month. thank you!

Is anyone else upset with Washington Mutual Bank sending them so called pre-approved credit card letters when in fact you are not pre approved? Does anyone else feel the verbiage is misleading and should instead say something like Invited to apply or Pre-selected to apply like Amex and other reputable lenders do? I was under the impression that by law if you're pre-approved it’s just that and that the lender could not turn you down?

I'm curious if anyone else has had this thought and I'd like to open it up to discussion:

When the issue of domestic spying came up, Bush said it was absolutely vital to our national security that he be allowed to conduct surveillance on any communications between American citizens and foreigners.

As we know, the Constitutionality of this policy was challenged in court and declared unConstitutional because the policy allowed Bush to conduct surveillance of any American citizen, for any reason, without a warrant.

Claiming that the program was absolutely necessary to our national security, Bush continued the spying and appealed the decision.

A few months ago, suddenly, Bush came out and said that the government was no longer conducting this surveillance because it really wasn't that necessary after all.

A few days ago, the Department of Justice said that abuses of the PATRIOT Act had taken place.

Anyone see a connection?
