I have someone right now that I'm treating for the same issue. They are doing quite well with P.T. treatment. The hematoma is decreasing in size and softening.

Steroids are very bad for health and whichever doctor has prescribed it to you is very nasty. For a bruise all that is required is pain killers to allivate the pain and anti-biotics to prevent the infection and local creams and oils to soothe you and for what the hell the doctor gave you steroids which could cause diabetes or cancer or what not. From now on please apply coconut oil & some pain balm mixed together and rubbed nicely over the injury and within 15 days your problem would be solved.
