I can find the eigenvalues (5,-1,1) easily but I seem to be doing something wrong to find the vectors. (3-u)x1+2y1=0 and I should be able to find my vectors by plugging in the eigenvalues but! when I check my work (plug in the eigenvalues into another equation) I get an extra eigenvector.

Help!

I dont get it. Why invite people to dinner if they have to bring an users manual to decipher the usage of the various cutlery. The other day I was at this place with silverware lined up six deep and an assortment of sauces and napkins. The fish was hell of bony, so I dug in with my fingers (less work for the dishwasher). Most of the folks seemed to be playing "follow the leader" and pretending to know what they were doing. The only folks comfortable with the gizmos seemed to be the old folks who must have picked it up from the boring TV channels in a retirement home. However, when I dug in my folks pretended not to notice but the other tables gasped as if watching Venus undress and smeared their eyebrows with tartar sauce in an effort to shield their eyes from the horrifying sight. Is there anyway of eating a bony fish properly without having to knit a sweater with ones fork. I see these same fellows drink wine out of a plastic cup outside. What a deal.

My husband's ex-wife's daughter brought her friends over to our house for sleep over,my opinion was not consulted beforehand whether I like it or not, but they came anyways - fine. Before the daughter and friends came over,husband and I had a slight arguement and I stayed in my bedroom. Then when I finally cooled off after a couple of hours, I went to him and kissed him (thinking he was alone) gdnite-it's bedtime, I found him sitting there, relaxing and watching tv with her daughter and her friends -all 15 yrs old.My arguement was-it's not appropriate for him to hang around his underaged teen daughter's friends like that while I'm obviously feeling lousy in the other room. He said no, "I am watching a movie, nothing wrong with that". I am not against him spending time with his daughter, in fact I will join him too-but not when we had an arguement and we're in separate rooms. Who is right and what is appropriate???? Please help!!

I'm not the biggest fan of Avril, but I watched the music video, saw the shirt, and freaked out, because I felt like I had seen it at Forever21! I've tried looking it up everywhere and couldn't find out if it was from the store or not. Still, I remember shopping one day and seeing a shirt exactly like it...but I need to double-check. Anyone have an idea? =)

Why not just put them on death row.
And then carry out that sentence.
There is more poeple in prison for non violent and drug crimes than there is space for them; yet they let killers go loose on poor police work.
Some laws give a man more prison time for hitting a women than for killing her. Where is the justice in that?

I've bought three different styles of trousers (grey, black and a dark sandy colour) for work, but am stuck for what to wear over a shirt on the top half. V-neck tops seem a bit frumpy, casual suit-style jackets seem a bit too casual, and I'm not quite ready for a navy blazer with blue buttons. Any ideas? Is it possible to wear suit jackets that aren't identical to the trousers, or is this a fashion disaster?

I just want to say to all the people who say iPods are better then Zunes- have you actually worked a Zune before? Because they are SO much better. Everyone who works my Zune says it is so much better then their or their friends iPod. So all you people who say iPods are better, I don't think you have ever used one before.
