i realy need to put braces on but some of my friends say that it hurts, and i realy hate realy hate the way they look so iam realy worried about it and espicially cause of the way that it looks cause i know iam gonna look like a total fool what should i do?help!

I had em for almost 3yrs,kicked & screamed at my mum for puttin me thru it,she said one day i wud thank her, i said no way! Yes it can be a lil uncomfortable,coz the bands help ur teeth move back into a proper position.i had to pull out 4teeth b4 i had em on.the rubber helps "pull" the teeth into the position that its needed.It can be uncomfy,prolly 1st few mths when u have em but later when u get used to it,its ok.I know this may sound cliche but thank god my mum put me thru it.When i had em,it wasnt a popular thing to have,was laughed at in school etc but it all doesnt matter coz now ppl compliment me on my beautiful pearly whites! And at the end of the day, i really did thank my mum for puttin me thru it.Never regret it a bit.Even now i have my "ex" braces in a small box..as memory..lol...Also, its trendy to have braces these days,juz ask ur dentist for those colorful bands instead of the plain ones..looks funkier!

Okay #1 Braces only hurt for the first week #2 Nobody cares what you look like when you have them on nobody at my school did. #3 You won't look like a total fool. #4 You are overreacting way to much!

I have never had braces myself, but many of my friends have. I also have a friend who has invisalign. Invisalign are clear invisable braces that are customized for you. You can also remove them to eat and brush your teeth. My friend really likes them and you cannot tell that she has them. These may be good for you if you do not like how braces look. They may, however, be more expensive than braces.

u won't look like a fool and besides braces r really popular actorslike dakota fannind and emma watson have them. if u don't like the way they look then have the bands colorful instead of just silver

well ,,,i just got my braces off...i didnt hurt me at all when i got my breaces on ...buh when u go monthly they tigneed them and it my hurt u for like 2 ,3 days ..buh then u get used to itt=)..goood lucckk ...ohh and be care ful ....look in the mirror after u eat cuzz food tends to get stuck between ur bracess...=)

It does hurt but after a week it stops hurting. You get used to it after a month.

If you dont like how they look, just imagine what your teeth will look like in 10 years if you dont.
