i run a small removal firm and i recently employed somone about 4 weeks ago! the problem is that he is ok at his job but his attitude towards me is disgusting he tries to tell me what to do he belittles me in front of customers if i (the boss) turns up at the place a few minuets late his head is up his backside ! he says he does not like waiting around! between housemoves he is always nipping to the shops or home i would love to get rid of him but where do i stand? he has not sighned a contract yet !

My recent ex-fiancee, would call a co-worker several times a day even when he was off and at home with me. He claimed they were business calls and he had to take even when they were incoming from her. I assumed it really was business since he was a GM at the job was constantly dealing with the owner and other managers. Our living situation was miserble and regretful, but he always came home to me. He never communicated his inner feelings about our relationship to me. This new year he secretly found and apartment and decided to tell me three days before leaving. I was internally relieved and shocked when told me and suspious of him during the last three months of 2006. Since, he was anxious to move he found an apartment right in the next building. He wanted to be friends and I wanted to put our lousy years behind me. Two weeks after he left I saw the cell phone bill and all the calls he made to one number. He thinks talking to someone for two and half months, isn't cheating.

it is understood that an application for Planning permission is going to be submitted shortly for a 43 storey building in central London. One of four already going up. It is designed to provide considerable storage space, a hotel and a casino. It is also intended to be an “Artistic Landmark” and is expected to be vividly colourful and with Neon lights installed to show off these colours.

Planning permission has already been granted for a 27 storey building with in a few yards, and Hackney Council passed this in spite of vigorous opposition from local residents. Also the opposition from a local council ward member who resigned on the basis of their decision.

With these two buildings directly opposite our 4 floors, this will take away all of our natural daylight, hence having our lights on day and night, which will be a waste of energy. It is interesting to note that this storage space will be on the first few floors, as they do not need natural daylight, so the hotel rooms will

This is not an attack on religion and I do not want any abuse towards any belief systems here. No mockery, no evangelism, none of that.

I answered a question recently where someone didn't understand the fundamentals of classical physics, but were asking a question that required a quantum physics answer. When I answered them, they dismissed my answer as wrong. If someone doesn't even understand the fundamentals of classical physics they have no hope understanding the physics of very-small or very-large, and yet this person was arguing that I was wrong despite my physics training.

It seemed that they wanted to use the first law of thermodynamics to prove that something on the quantum scale was impossible (ergo proving God's existence). When I tried to explain to them the answer, they weren't prepared to listen.

How many people here actually have some training in physics and are hence qualified to answer questions about the creation of energy?

A guy and girl meet at the bar and are instantly attracted to each other. They party all night, and at the end decide to go back to his place to continue. Once there, they get passionate and start to make out. This is the thing...... there is this girl who i was talking to like everyday until 2 weeks ago when everything changed, suddenly she just stopped talking to me , she has a bf but they have not been in good terms as of late. anyhow we were talking and she told me she totally trusted me. keep in mind this was still when we were fine, but like i said now she just totally ignores my messages i send on myspace, my text messages, and at church she just really doesnt seem to wanna talk to me. ive invited her to go out and eat or something but she always has something else to do. i dont get it. i just wanna be her friend first and she still pushes me away and doesnt even tell me why when i ask her. what could it be? i did nothing wrong , atleast i dont think i did and if i did i have asked her to let me know and she doesnt. what do i do? just move on with my life? is it a lost cause? help me out here i need really good advice , thanks. in advance
