My period is not due until about the 8th of March but since the weekend I have been having cramps at night, they are not the sort that are really painful but they are niggling and keeping me awake. Does anyone else experience this? it's driving me insane please help.

I am not a doctor at all but it may be worth just checking with your doctor. I had this a few years ago. They were painful and would wake me up. I went to my doctor and she said it could be one of two things. One it could be cysts on my ovaries or Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I had to have a scan and it turned out that it wasn't cysts, but I do have IBS which I now control with medication.

Have a warm drink before going to bed, take a hot water bottle with you place it on your tummy & lie in the foetal position. You should be able to sleep more peacefully. It is normal to have this, a number of things can cause this from trapped wind, body fluids, or a hernia. If you are worried, see a doctor, but you should be fine. xxx
