My sister has been having seizures and migranes. Our NHS neurologist is useless. She has a history of some mental health problems and so he assumes that she is faking it - which she is definatly not! On one hospital visit, when haveing a seizure, they did sternum rubs etc which left huge bruises, with no response.
When she is having the migranes, as well as having the seizures some of the time, she loses her speech - she knows what she wants to say and can write it but can't say it, and she loses use of her right arm.
We got a private consult and it was sugeested that she has hemiplegic migrane, and that the possible treatments included anti-epileptic drugs, but because of the seizures she can't try those until she has had an EEG done; however, the NHS consultant won't arrange one, and we can't afford to get more treatment privatly.
We have been told that while she has the hemiplegic migrane, which causes the speech and arm problems, but he wasn't sure about the seizures.

I didn't know the guy very well, but he and my partner went through a lot together. I'm being supportive in every way I can think - listening to him, helping organise the memorial, getting on with stuff around the house, reminding him he's loved - I just need some words of encouragement...

they say tehy get such great fuel efficiency and that domestics suck. My car get the same gas mileage as a toyota corolla up untill the year 2000 models on the highway. Even al gore says that our cars arent up to the fuel efficiency standards. Anyone else agree with me that GM can make fuel efficient cars that can rival imports of the same size?

I USUALLY HAVE NO PROBLEMS WHEN LETTING HIM OUT OUT OUR GATE. HE WOULD BE OFF LEASH, WAIT TILL I LOCK DOOR, AND WALK ALONG WITH ME. HOWEVER, LATELY HE HAS BEEN STARTING TO BE BAD BY NOT LISTENING TO MY COMMANDS, AND JUST START TO WALK OFF HIMSELF TOWARDS THE PARK TO POTTY, CROSSING STREETS HIMSELF. NOW I ALMOST HAVE TO USE LEASH ALL THE TIME (AND PLZ DON'T GIVE ME THE LEASH LAW... I KNOW ABOUT IT ALREADY, DON'T COMMENT ON THAT PLZ). COULD IT BE BECAUSE I SHOULD BE LETTING HIM DO HIS POTTY SOONER, SO HE DOESN'T FEEL LIKE HE IS ABOUT TO EXPLODE. HE TENDS NOW TO LISTEN AT ALL IF HE REALLY NEEDS TO GO. BEFORE HE WOULD SIT ON COMMAND WHEN HE REACHED THE CORNER. HOW DO U PUNISH THEM WITHOUT PHYSICAL ABUSE? HE IS A ROTTIE, ALMOST 1YR.

I am a 28 yr old guy, married a couple of yrs ago, my wife is 32. We discussed having children a while ago and decided we both don't have what it takes right now. It's quite complicated, coz we moved to a new country, don't have much of our own, but besides the financial strains and not being to provide too much, something else troubles us even more. We seem to not have that desire to produce offsprings, to make "others" like us. We're both Christians, we believe and trust God and sometimes wonder what He would like...It's quite difficult but I kno if I'm ever gonna have children it's gonna be coz I really-really want them. How do U feel (happily parents)? WHat drove U to become one? What did U feel at those moments, how did U decide? These things are very important for me coz I want to learn from the experience of others. And also I kno, no matter what I'm still gonna love and adore my wife, she's like my baby sometimes and I'm her baby to her. Answers will be highly appreciated !!!

A man goes into a bar and seats himself on a stool. The bartender looks at him and says, "What'll it be buddy?"

The man says, "Set me up with seven whiskey shots and make them doubles." The bartender does this and watches the man slug one down, then the next, then the next, and so on until all seven are gone almost as quickly as they were served. Staring in disbelief, the bartender asks why he's doing all this drinking.

"You'd drink them this fast too if you had what I have."

The bartender hastily asks, "What do you have pal?"

The man quickly replies, "I have a dollar."

My best friend is very...well...it's hard to think of a word to describe her. Whenever something is wrong with her, she doesn't just complain about it once, get her sympathies, and move on, she'll just keep mentioning it and mentioning it till you no longer feel sorry for her, but rather, would like to knock her out so she'll stop talking about it. I love her to death but MY GOD why wont she just shut up and take a pill?! Anyone else have a friend like this?

My husband and I have been fighting and our relationship has been on the rocks for a while. We went to a marraige counsler last Thursday and "we" both decided to go to counsling and move forward while we were there. My husband decided to stay w/me and work thru our issues and not move out. well, I've been very nice,I haven't put myself first in any situation and I really listened to the counsler and I'm seeing things thru my husband's eyes, I'm being as fair and rational as I possibly can and am acting as though "when we first met each other" well, my husband seems to be fighting this...he wants to be convertanital at any given time....he stops to correct me if I say something wrong,he won't let things go....were suppose to move forward and not hold on to past issues...He says he wants to try but he can't get past our prior issues SO FAST! i know this and it's hard to forget the past but how can I try if he's fighting it??i go back tomorrow for a session bymyself. Any advice???
