It's not illegal to be in love, but it can be considered illegal if they have sex. I'd wait until they're 18 to get really serious.

I'm currently waiting 3 weeks until a guy turns 21.
Is the someone a female? Is some "old lady" trying to get you to fall in love with her...I hope there's a guy in this story! It's NOT legal to be 17 and be with an adult! Date young people!

when your a boy and 17 is still class as being a boy you don't understand why you feel the way you do about your sexuality so if somebody who is old enough to be your mother comes on the seen then that could be very confusing to him maybe you should both try and find people in a closer age group to each other and then come back together if you both feel the same way about each other

Unfortunately in the UK it isn't illegal if they had sex or a relationship but come on 41 and 17
He is a Teen who prob has mother issues and wants a shag and she is virtually a paedophile! Or has mothering issues herself
I am not against age gaps but there is a limit!! and age in itself if he were 27 and her 51 it might be a bit different
For starters he might not be "in love" any more he may only think he is in love as he is so young and she could over power him emotionally because she is older
Trust me at this age it isn't right especially for the boy he should be allowed to grow up first become a man then if he does love her and her him then all well and good

Depends, i guess most people would say Yes its wrong and that it shouldn't happen but it always as done and always will do.
Personally i think ages is a fact that distrubs to much of our daily life, i think most people use that as an excuse to stop people living there lives.
Althought thats is a pretty big age gap, if it really is love and not just lust then i personally don't think that here is anything wrong with it. Once you are both happy and that there older person isn't taking advantage of the younger person.

well first off falling in love isn't illegal. taking action on those feelings is. and as far as legalities, it depends on where you live. but honestly, if a 41 year old is having feelings for a 17 year old they need to worry more about seeking professional help for themselves rather than wether or not its legal. and if you feel that it may be illegal then somewhere in the back of your mind you know its wrong. and in my opinion kinda creepy. you are old enough to be their parent. you should met Someone your own age and leave that CHILD alone.

falling in love is legal no matter of the age
16 is I think the legal age in this country for people committing sexual act, so 17 should be legal.
although, might not be morally tolerated by the society...(just my opinion)

Of course it legal the boy is of the legal age to have sex abut i'd wait till he is 18 because then he can definetly do what he wants and his parents cnt say nothing whereas at the moment they can. in england anyway

Theres no harm in it whatsoever and it is not illegal. When I was 17 I was dating a man who was 38, six months youngers than my mum!! We had loads of fun and he looked after me really well. Just have fun and see where it goes, don't get serious with the love bit just yet....

"Love" and "Sex" aren't the same thing. Stay out of his pants and you are home free. I can't imagine a 41 year old woman falling in "love" with a child. It's very sick and creepy to even think about. I'd suggest counseling. Fast.
