looking back over previous answers to the nature of god, several responders said, you can't define or describe god, since god is "spirit."

i'm curious (sincerely) what this means. when you say "spirit" do you have anything at all in mind, or just a blank, or a vague sense of something like "nature"?

We have an older Compaq desktop. the motherboard only supports 512mb ram, and it's too slow for office2003 and Autocad. I'd like to buy a new barebones system, some ram, CPU, and then move my IDE HD, CD/RW and DVD/RW over to it. Already have mouse/kbd/monitor/etc also. Lots of choices on Newegg and other sites, but how to know what to buy that all works together? Nearly anything would be faster than what we have now, don't need a "screamer" and don't even need super powerful graphics. This isn't a gamer system, 'ya know?
I'm no stranger to the insides of a PC, but just need some help buying some componets that will play nicely with each other. Don't care if it's vista compatible either. Win XP home is fine for us, I don't even want to reinstall my OS, it messes with the licensing for Office.
Best answer is a shopping list from newegg or other site with reasons why. Can we keep it under $300? If more, why?

It was the first day after Christmas vacation in a 3rd grade class. The teacher told the class that each student could tell the class 1 thing they got for Christmas. So, the teacher calls on a girl to come up to the front of the class and tell everyone 1 thing she got. "My daddy got me a Bow-Wow," she said. The teacher tells the class that they are old enough to know the correct words for things without using nicknames. The teacher tells the girl to try again. The girl thinks real hard ........ "My dad got me a dog," she said. She sat down and a boy got up and said, "I got a choo-choo!" The teacher scolded him and told him to try again. The boy thought hard and said, "I got an electric train!!" I would like to know this, PLEASE... because my husband pays child support every month to his son's mother and she just swindles the money in the wind at the beauty salon, nail salon, buys big car rims, etc. And my step son calls us every week for money for things he need, which we do not mind it, but why should we have to give her the finer things in life while her son, OUR SON , must continue to need, need, need, what is child support for then? Is child support for the mother to have extra money to do what ever she wants with it. Every time I buy a new car, go on a nice vacation, a nice piece of jewelry, or anything... she goes to her case worker and demand more money. When I bought a new car, the next month she got a new SUV and demanded more money. Also let me not forget her son, OUR SON do not live with her at least 5 days a week only maybe 2, or 3 to 4 days out of the month. Yes! I am not joking. A couple days out of the month. Our son tells us she is too busy with a lot men.
