I know it'll sound terribly noble of me to say I'd try and stop her, regardless, but it's not her welfare I'm thinking of.
I'm thinking of the poor sap driving the car.
If she dies, she gets what she wants.
If she lives, she'll quite likely try again.
What about the person in the car? Don't they matter?
They'll have to live with the consequences of Her actions.
By standing in front of that car, she chooses to damn an innocent person to a lifetime of something quite likely worse than Hell.
Selfish, selfish little girl.
She's not the one who's going to have the flashbacks, or the nightmares. Or spend years unable to get into the driver's seat.
It's all about her. And everybody else doesn't matter.
I suppose we'll all just get on with our lives, like nothing happened, shall we?
No, no. Her death wouldn't affect me, not at all.
Because this time, I'm standing on the sidewalk, and someone else is driving the car...

I would push her out of the way. Think about the person driving the car. Do they really need to live with the fact that some nut job forced them to become the executioner. People who commit suicide by means such as that are selfish and ignorant.

No death angel, I would not let her die. It is not our place to decide when it's our time to go. That decision belongs to God alone. If you were there and had the opportunity to save her then obviously you were there for that reason & that is what you were meant to do. She was not meant to die at that time.

By the way....is she magically more valuable if she's in her 20's?

I would have to agree with A.
I could not have this on my conscience and there is no guarantee she would die, she could end up disfigured and/or brain dead but still alive.

in this situation, i'd probably "have" to save her life out of conscience

but i'm very pro-choice on suicide. no one should have to live on this hell called Earth if they don't really want to.
