On a bet on an individual number, you get paid 35 to 1 when the breakeven is 37 to 1.
On a red/black/odd/even bet, you get paid 1 to 1 when the breakeven is 1.11 to 1.
On a row bet, you get paid 11 to 1 when the breakeven is 11.67 to 1.
On a column bet, you get paid 2 to 1 when the breakeven is 2.17 to 1.

They all pay below what you need to break even. They don't need a switch, they make money by running it straight up.

The house edge in American roulette is 5.26%. With an edge like that there is no need to have a switch, they will always make money over time.

No Switch. It's a fair game if you like the odds. (36 to 1)
