i have heard many prayers from christians in my short time on terra firma (22 revolutions around the sun by the the earth, to be exact), and i have heard many prayers that when i heard them i thought, "jesus has starving people in darfur, homeless in india, etc, why the heck would he even care to give you the time to hear about your want to have//feel/whatever??? "

i think it's time for chrisians to give jesus a vacation... and im proposing the week after his birthday.. the guy knows what's going on in the world, he doesn't need people to report back to him about every little detail in our life 52 weeks out of his year (and we all know our years are based upon him).. let him enjoy the holidays and watch the bowl games like we all do, and just let the man have a chance to relax.. doesn't he deserve that? i mean, i know all that he gave christians was an opportunity to spend eternity in heaven, but still?/?

If people are so aware of their death, then why don't they freak out about it. I am once you're dead it's over. I really feel like we are programmed not to care/dwell about it. But Damn it's the biggest thing that can happen to us after birth!

I was told yesterday by an answerer that Nazis were left wing liberals "such as myself" because they had the word "socialist" in their party name. It was a jaw dropping moment but it also worries me that this kind of ignorance of politics and history might be more widespread than I originally thought. PLEASE REASSURE ME THIS ISN'T TRUE!

I work at UPS, I make $42.00 a week, how can that pay any rent, I make $42.00 a week as a part-time package handler. That is the total I bring home after taxes and union dues.

RIO RANCHO, N.M. (AP) — New Mexico is hoping to keep drunks off the road by lecturing them at the last place they usually stop before getting behind the wheel: the urinal.

The state recently paid $21 each for about 500 talking urinal-deodorizer cakes and has put them in men's rooms in bars and restaurants across the state.

I've been living in Playa del Carmen, Mexico now since December 19, 2006. I am going to be here until the middle of March. When I entered Mexico, I thought they would give me a tourist visa stamp for 90 days and it turns out it is only for 30 days! I am very scared that when I leave the coutry, they wont let me leave. What can I do? Will they let me leave? Will I have to pay a fine and then they will let me go? Has anyone had this problem before? Thanks so much in advance!
