It depends what time you leave, where in London you live etc. Probably about 3 hours, could be a lot more depending on traffic. Check out www.theaa.com for directions and time estimates.
It also depends where you're parking when you get there - Cardiff City Centre hasn't got much parking. There are Park and Ride sites open during special events eg. rugby, football etc. but not a lot else.
Have you thought about taking the train from Paddington? The train station's about a 5 min walk from the Millennium Stadium, and while the train might get delayed, it might be less frustrating than sitting in a car. There's a toll on the Severn Bridge going into Wales too - another £5-odd on top of your petrol costs. Free to get out though.....

It normally takes about 3 hours or so, obviously depending on what part of London you're starting from - that could add a lot of time. If you're coming to a match, there will be lots of traffic, so allow plenty more time, especially if other fans are likely to be travelling from the same direction. The toll for the Severn crossing is now £5.10. Definitely don't drive into the centre, as lots of the roads will be closed and the whole area is likely to be congested. There are park and ride facilities, though - see http://www.cardiff.gov.uk/content.asp?nav=2870%2C4048%2C4198&parent_directory_id=2865&positioning_article_id=&language=&sortkey= for details. Alternatively you could park somewhere in the outskirts of Cardiff and get a local train in, as that wouldn't take long, eg Llandaf station - see http://www.arrivatrainswales.co.uk

About three hours or so depending on traffic. oh the bridge cost is 5 pounds but it equates to 2.50 per crossing so not free to come out.
