Nope. Vitamin supplementation has been proven not to work in preventing colds.

Your best bet is to get a good amount of sleep, eat well, and wash your hands frequently.

Nothing (short of being fully isolated) can stop you getting a cold. The healthier you are, however, the easier it is for your immune system to deal with it. The best bet so far is a newly-approved COLD FX drug, which does apparently help your immune system fight a cold.

No a cold is a virus and you get it by touching something that someone else who has a cold touched then rubbing your eyes or nose and infecting yourself. This time of year you need to wash your hands a lot.

No. They will help you build up your immune system, however, and you will be less susceptible. May not get them as often as people that don't take them, or have the cold as long. Everyone gets colds.

they will help to prevent the symptoms being so bad or lasting so long. but if you've already been exposed to the virus then theres not much they can do. i think. :]
