We were together 2 years and she broke it off because she got tired of waiting for me to make a committment. I realized too late how much I loved her and have been trying for several months to show her that I've changed and things would be different if given another chance. She has called me several times with problems and the last time she called it was a problem with her current boyfriend. I gave her my opinion and she didn't like what I told her. I guess she really didn't want my opinion, she just wanted me to tell her it would all work out. Other times when we talk, it's just like old times and we laugh and enjoy the conversation. I'm not sure at this point whether to try to keep the friendship since she seems to want it or whether I should just cut all ties so that I can move on. We are both in our 30's so we aren't kids.

(we have the same initials) How badly does an inner wrist tattoo hurt? Because my boyfried says that they hurt. He thinks I wont be able to stand it.

Three men who were lost in the forest were captured by cannibals. The cannibal king told the prisoners that they could live if they pass a trial. The first step of the trial was to go to the forest and get ten pieces of the same kind of fruit. So all three men went separate ways to gather fruits.

The first one came back and said to the king, "I brought ten apples." The king then explained the trial to him. "You have to shove the fruits up your butt without any expression on your face or you'll be eaten."

The first apple went in... but on the second one he winced out in pain, so he was killed.

The second one arrived and showed the king ten berries. When the king explained the trial to him he thought to himself that this should be easy. 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8... and on the ninth berry he burst out in laughter and was killed.

The first guy and the second guy met in heaven. The first one asked, "Why did you laugh, you almost got away with it?" The second one replied, "I couldn't help it, I saw the third guy coming with pineapples."

A man walks into a pub and sits down next to a man with a dog at his feet. "Does your dog bite?"

"No."

A few minutes later the dog takes a huge chunk out of his leg.

"I thought you said your dog didn't bite!" the man says indignantly.

"That's not my dog."

My 9-year-old daughter has a friend who is extremely intelligent, clever and boisterous. While those are great qualities, she's also loud, manipulative and deceitful (I caught her cheating at "pin the tail on the donkey" two years ago, for example.) She's a smart-mouth to adults, including her parents, and emotionally manipulates my daughter, often hurting her feelings. She's amazingly passive-aggressive for a 9-year-old. And my daughter adores her; they are best of friends.

I try to find things to like about the girl and be positive, but I dislike her more than I like her.

A friend of mine brought her kitten into the vet, because someone stepped on him. There didnt seem to be any serious harm done, but he was breathing a little hard. The vet said that he was in shock, and would keep him overnight for observation. He gave him two shots, of darvanx? or something that sounds like that. My friend didn't have the money to pay the vet, at the time (didn't plan for an emergency visit). So the vet kept the cat for a week. Saturday morning she picked up the kitten. His stomach was grossly distended, like he had worms, but the vet said that he wormed him. He didnt comment on what could have caused the cat's stomach to be distended like that. He gave the kitten a clean bill of health. Sunday morning, he had died in his sleep. The vet says that the kitten probably just had a heartattack, and takes absolutely no responsibility in the kittens death. Why would he have released him if there was probelm? What can we do? Can the vet be held responsible?

Why are so many people defensive to the concept that there is but One God? That the divine inspiration of billions of Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Baha'is, Native Americans, the "Absolute Reality", Zoroastrians and Jews could be One God?
God Herself promised she would never leave us without guidance.
Consider - the spiritual teachings (such as the Golden Rule) of ALL God's religions are one and the same. All give praise to God and serve to enhance our spiritual relationship with God. Only their outward social teachings differ, attributing the varying needs of the ages in which they were promulgated. Of course the needs of 2000BC India were different to 600AD Arabia! What difference makes it? God is Omnipotent; there is She cannot do.
Jesus said that in 0AD, for the Jews, he was the way and the truth. Was not Moses also in his time? The flower displaces not the bud, but fulfills. If 10 mirrors were turned towards the same Sun, while different, would they not reflect the same Sun?

I have a '94 Nissan Sentra, with about 138,000 miles on it. Lately, the radio has been flicking off with a very loud 'click', and coming back on within seconds. At the same time, the clock flickers (though it has only reset once), and the car goes into an almost-stall. The airbag sign also comes on. However, the check engine light has not come on at all.

Is this a case of a bad battery, or something more? The car just had an inspection three weeks ago, and passed no problem. I'm thinking it's the battery, but I'm low on money these days and don't want to buy a new battery just to find out that's not the problem, and I don't want to bring it to an auto shop just to find out it's a bad battery and have to pay them for labour that I really didn't need.

Ideas?
