There is absolutely nothing wrong with a man crying at all.

In most cases, it takes a man who is very confident in his masculinity to cry, and sociey, sadly, seems to want to make us believe that it is 'weak' and 'girly' to cry.

It is a useful way of coping with emotions, and I celebrate the fact that I can cry. I wish more people could accept and feel their emotions. Good on you for being able to cry.

No, I do not think it is. Depending on the situation though, I don't really think that a man should cry just because a romantic comedy ends well or something. But, in a relationship, or in the death of a loved one, and in many other situations, it is perfectly fine. Especially when under stress which can cause unusual emotions in everyone.

It is not unmasculine for a man to cry. Men are human & they have emotions just like everyone else does. I have seen many men cry for one reason or another & I admire them for that, I really do. Many fathers tell their little boys that it's not okay to cry, but I have seen what can happen when the little boy is a man, with all this bottled up emotion he's held in for so long. Crying is natural & a good release, & nothing to be ahamed of in my book.

Not particularly unmasculine but it depends on when and where he does it and with who...........
I know someone who rarely shows emotion but the 3 occassions I've witnessed him crying were the most awkward times I've spent in his company, he did'nt just shed a few tears he bawled it out like a small kid does really loud and really sobbing I tried to comfort him but nothing worked it was hell for him but almost as hellish for me not to be able to help him, If the shoe was on the other foot I know he'd comfort me and i'd soon stop, but to amnswer your question again, no it does'nt make me see him as less masculine because he cried.

Sweetie, there's nothing wrong atall with men crying. If anything it just says you're big enough to show your emotions. It's ridiculous to think men shouldn't cry, they maybe a bit mad at times, but they're only human, not crying can actually make you ill, it's a stress relief & clears the dirt from your eyes. A strong build up of stress could lead to mental & even physical difficulties. You wanna cry, you cry, honey. I'm proud of you. xxx

Let's put it this way - A group of women will tell you it's OK to cry and that lots of men do, but if you were with a group of blokes and you started blubbing, firstly none of them would know where to look or what to do and would probably attempt some humour, then you would be called a puff as soon as you were out of earshot and you would be avoided like the plague - If you must do it - I wouldn't advise announcing it.

No its not other guys look at another guy who's crying and calls them a *** but its better to let your emotions out then in because studies show if u keep your emotion to yourself then you won't live a long time but if you show you emotions then your live longer than the person who is trying to be all bad u know so i don't think crying is emasculate

Crying is natural, but for men it's a sign of weakness in their ability to cope with a particular situation. Some women like to see you cry because it puts you on the same level of emotion as them, and once you do, you've lost a certain level of masculinity. Do it in private.

I can't believe this, 4 thumbs down. Most women want their men to be masculine. And guys, if you want to see what people really think, go crying to your boss because you didn't get a raise or cry when you get laid off. I've seen this happen at a couple of places and the poor guys where called various things by the men and women who claimed to be their friends.

No man. Crying is fine for a man as long as it's the right occasion ;)
