I am 22 years old and a nanny. i absolutely love my job but because its winter and the parents dont want me taking them out side (they are 2 and 5 months) I have gained alot of weight. I have always been a heavy girl and for the past 5 or 6 months have really been working on it. I go to the gym 4 nights a week and have started weight watchers and am trying to stick with it. But I have noticed that because I dont do much during the day now I havent been losing like I was before or like I should be. So I was wondering if anyone has any tips to help me stay active in the house, they dont have a treadmill or anything like that. Thanks!

My fiance and I dated for 4 years and were engaged for 2 of them. We had a great relationship throughout, with some tensions due to his overbearing mother who he cant say no to. We moved into apt last Jan and 3 months b4 the wedding he suddenly called it off saying he 'wasn't ready' and he was confused (we were bickering for the past 3 months). He moved out and back home. B/c of my begging and promises to change he kept coming and leaving again 4 times over the space of a month, until finally I moved out of our apt and back home at my mothers. I packed my bags and moved to another country to get over the devastation of a cancelled engagement and heartbreak, and within the last month have just started to heal. He says he is sorry and that he is made a huge mistake but it is very hard to have romantic feelings for him now after what he did to me. Am i being petty and holding a grudge? Should I just chalk it up to tempoary insanity on his part, focus on the good times and take him back?

I'm hoping someone can offer either advice on how to handle hard water in our home or shed some light on a good place to go first for help. We moved into our new home about 2 years ago now. We didn't notice it at first, but now we are seeing buildup around our faucets, our dishes come out of the washer with hardwater stains, and even our dogs water bowl is showing rings that are proving impossible to clean!!

Can anyone else relate to this problem and maybe give suggestions on what to do? Does a water softener help this? Does hard water pose any health issues?

Thanks for your help!

My poor little 11 month old girl bonked her head this morning, and cried very hard. Her initial cry after hitting her head was to the point where she exhausted all of the air in her lungs until finally she gasped for air for the next cry. I am curious if someone has had a child lose consciousness from not breathing because of a hard cry, and as a parent what I am supposed to do if this happens. Thanks for your time!

I don't really understand what determines the amount you owe or the amount you will be refuned on your taxes...As long as you aren't reporting inacurrate tax information (claiming too many dependents, etc) for your employment, is it assured that you won't owe anything?

I just started working professionally in July of last year so I did not make a ton of money (about $10,500), plus I have student loan interest of upwards of around $765. So, my employment and my student loans are the only places I will be reporting tax info on. I claimed myself as a dependant.

Could you assume at the very least that I wouldn't owe anything? Just curious. Thanks.

Don’t you think saying, “There is no God” like it is fact is a little arrogant? Humanity as a whole is learning new things every day. It wasn’t long ago when people said it was impossible to travel faster than the speed of sound. Now the accepted theory is that it is impossible to travel faster than light, but theoretical mathematics shows that it is possible to “Fold” space and time where it may be possible to travel huge distances almost incautiously. I am a Christian but I am not going to state that “There is a God” as fact, because how can we really know, that is what faith is all about.
What I do have is a historical figure, Yeshua who lived and preached in Israel 2000 years ago. He preached a message of love and nonviolence, forgiveness, and loving your neighbor. We know he was arrested by the Romans and crucified for challenging the Jewish religious authorities. I have an empty tomb, at least 14 eyewitness accounts of this man appearing to them after he was dead and buried. I have 11 people who were so changed by this mans life and death that they went out and preached this controversial new doctrine until it got them all killed. All 11 disciples died for their beliefs and not one recanted their beliefs even though it cost them their life. If you had followed a man you thought was a prophet around for a few years and he made all types of claims as to his divinity and he didn’t fulfill them do you really think you would make up a story, go out and preach this myth until it got you killed? Would you die for a lie? I have not met anyone who would have you? Just something to think about.
