I am pregnant with my 5th. Yes the risks do increase for things like a prolapsed uterus for the simple reason we have just used that thing to death. lol
Hang in there, I just think about the old days when women had 12 and 13 kids.

I am 42 in just a few days and am expecting my 6th child. My youngest is ten. I divorced a few years back but still have a great relationship with my ex. I met my current love 3 years ago. I didn't think i was still able to have children... but I really wanted one more with my love. I am concerned about the risks though. I don't have any morning sickness but I can feel my bottom kinda cramp or discomfort, when i walk around a lot and or work. I am only 7 weeks pregnant and breathless quite a bit. I hope all goes well with this one. My last 5 were pretty much a breeze although I experienced morning sickness with all my boys, that was it. I wish all the best in bearing their children and hope everyone has a healthy pregnancy and baby. Good Luck to all!

There is a risk of complications with all births. I suppose that there could be a higher risk of bleeding because the uterus may not want to contract enough to stop the bleeding, but as long as you are in a hospital the risks of having very serious complications are lowered. If you are very worried, bring it up at your next prenatal visit. Your doctor can give you more facts. I would not worry about it, since there is nothing you can do about it now. By the way both of my grandmothers had 9 kids each and they both lived to be in their 80's.

after my 3rd baby i had a lot of stomach pain which was like really bad period pains and i also had a clump of blood (large size) and was told that it was ok and that it was because i had, had 3 children.
I'm now nearly 7 month pregnant with my 4th and i hope i dont have the pains again but its worth it...
I do agree with your added comments about some people, you ask questions and all they can do is be a critic and not help at all...
good luck and i hope it all goes well!

Yes your chances increase. This is why you go into the hospital to have your kids incase anything happens. I would think that after number 3 you wouldn't have any worries but I can see where your coming from. I wouldn't worry about any of this and just think about what took place after the delievery of your last 5 kids.
I also wanted to say to the people who said some really rude things to you... How would you like that if someone said that to you. As you may think that after having some many kids that your vagina would be strectch out your wrong it shrinks back down after the delivery is done with. You people are rude and shouldn't be answering qeustions if you don't have anything nice to say.
TREAT OTHERS THE WAY YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED.

Well,to start i just have to say congratulations. You said it was planned,so good for you.
You are really getting nasty answers aren't you!
Not to be rude,my grandmother had 12 children, and had no complications.
It's just that people don't have those many kids anymore, that people are so rude.If you can't have children, don't be rude to people who can have as much as they possibly like!
Anyhow, that's my opinion and don't care what anyone thinks!

wow! God bless you cause i have no idea how you are doing it!! I cant imagine being pregnant that many times! However congrats but to answer your question i have read about the increase of complications after multiple pregnancies/births. There was something about it in What to Expect When Expecting but im sure you can do a little research online as well. BEst of luck to you and im sure everything will be fine esp with the new medical age.

i have never heard anything about complications after birth the more kids you have, I know loads of people including my mother in law that have had big families and none of them have had complications you should maybe speak with your midwife at your next antenatal appointment to put your mind at ease
