Sounds totally okay to me - only problem is if the puppet asks you to do things.
"What's that puppet? Everyone in the room is BAD and needs to be taught a lesson? What's that puppet? You know where I can find some napalm!"

Not if you were a children's entertainer and working at the time. However you would be considered weird to carry a puppet around all the time just cause you wanted to.

I went to school with a guy who carried around an Ernie doll (from Sesame Street) He didn't talk through it or anything, he just kept it with him all the time. That was about ten years ago. I still see him around and he got really embarrassed when I brought it up.
The point is, you might have people reminding you ten years from now how weird you were when you were younger.

If you are a comedian, entertainer, or actress, or seeking attention then it probably isn't a bad idea. But if you have a normal job and want people to take you serious, not such a good idea. Famous people with puppets, Jim Henson, Lamb Chop, more recently the Insult Comic Dog (I forget his first name). Good luck!

Yes it would be weird, but it could give people a few fun laughs. It all depends on what you say through it. If it is a puppet of Jade Goody people could give it a thump.

Depends why you were going to carry it round. You might get some strange looks, but if you're happy, then who cares! Hopefully you'll make some people laugh with you, and if other people laugh at you, they can't have got to know you enough!

If your planning on making a career out of it or your a child,then go for it. If your an adult who is a big kid at heart,then go for it. If you like to be a joker and make people laugh,then again go for it but if you want people to take you at all seriously,then i'd advise against it.

If its made from a sock then thats okay. A real properly made hand puppet bought or made properly is a no no!
