Yes but it must be a contrasting colour to the surrounding wall so it stands out.

hi mate yes you can and it doesn't have to be special paint either ,but if the door frame or door has intermisant seals which are on the edge of the door or in the rebate of the frame , you shouldn't paint over these the are there to stop the smoke getting through the door if theres a fire . hope this helps , jon (chippy)

when i first read this question, i laughed. i thought you meant, can a person paint a fire door on a brick wall. so like, if there was a fire, people would run to the fire exit only to find its just a wall. but to answer your question, i dont know.

Yes you can,all the fire doors in our School have been painted.

You will probably have to prime it first but there's not reason why it can't be painted.

yes but only with flame retardant paint and you can only do it in a few colours!
