I currently work as a substitute teacher for a popular Childcare facility with 1 year olds to 5 year olds. It has been in operation for 20 years. I am not full-time, and there is no benefits. I have requested full-time and they have told me to be patient since no openings are available.

I recently had a job offer, it is for a Daycare teaching 15 children all are 3 years old. The pay is a $1.00 more and benefits start in 2 months of work. I will be full-time. This place is 2 years new and they want me to work immediately.

My question is, the proper thing is to give 2 weeks notice, but they want me to start this Monday. I explained that I have prior appointments as a substitute for other teachers I need to cover.

What would you do?

I am curious to know. Don't sugar coat it. I am sick of sugar coating, just be blunt and honest it is so much better that way.

Because everytime I come on here there are a ton of illiterate 16 year olds asking shocking questions that they really should know the answer to. "can I get pregnant by pre-***", " Can I get pregnant if he pulls out" etc etc. Im appalled at the lack of knowledge these people seem to have, what the hell are your schools doing over there?

We have a club to help the environment but we need to raise some money. Nobobody really knows about our club and we don't want to go door-to-door selling stuff or asking for donations. We don't live in a very big town and aren't quite old enough to babysit. What do you think I should do?

In jarhead it seems like life in the corps is depressing and boring. Is it really that difficult? Are there usually no women around? I was considering joining the marines but it seems that in order to be a good marine, you have to be a little crazy. Should all perspective marines really be screaming, gun-ho, testosterone driven manics? Or does being in the marines make a person this way? How much does the marines REALLY change someone?

My father past away in March and my oldest sister and her daughter have moved in to help myself and my mother with bills. However, I am beginning to wish she hadn't. Now, whenever my mother talks about selling the house, my sis goes off saying that since she is paying part of the bills, we're not doing anything unless "she" likes it. Is my sis right in thinking like this? My mom and dad have spent 17 yrs paying for this house, never asking anyone for a penny. How can my sis think that by paying a couple months worth of bills, that this is now her house...what should I do?
