First of all, We are born sinners because of that retarded mistake Eve did, Crazy woman, what was she thinking. Not only that Adam fell with her. The First HUMAN man and woman were Perfect. When they were forced to leave the perfect Garden Of Eden, then that is when we were plagued with sin. If Adam would of denied Eve's suggestion, then God would of started over with another woman and named her something different or could of condemned the garden of eden to be our prison and not leave the earth EVER! To be without God for all eternity. Yes to your second question. We sin by choice as well. All of us are sinners, no matter what religion, belief, or any other way of living that we do. we will always be sinners and just be labeled one day as saved and unsaved. But still be sinners. Kinda like a permanent mark that even suicide cannot remove or save you from. The Garden of Eden was our Heaven and it no longer exists.

Four good questions. OK, in order:
1. Sin is deliberate disobedience to God. When Adam and Eve sinned, it changed their very natures. They passed their new nature, tainted by sin, on to all their descendants (us).
2. We're born with a sinful nature; i.e., although at birth we may or may not have sinned yet, still we can't avoid doing so.
3. Yes, certainly we sin by choice. In our rebelliousness and disobedience, we choose what we want over what God commands.
4. We are all sinners in fact, so the label itself is moot. The big question in human life isn't whether or not to sin; it's whether we will accept or reject God's incredible gift of forgiveness and salvation in Jesus Christ.
Hope this helps. Blessings to you!

The word sin rubs many a wrong way. When I realized that Jesus died for all of my sins, I am not worried about this sin stuff. I love my Lord, I would not make it to my Father's house without Jesus..so I accept His gift. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, God does not call us sinners anymore. We are not without sin but that is OK because all our sins are covered.
All of us fall short from the glory of God. We lie, we keep doing wrong, we do not start doing right, we envy, we gossip, we do not love one another...we are quite selfish. But we are God's people if we want to be. And that is great. That is why I follow Jesus, He is the perfect example.

Is sin just biblical? A sin could be seen as going outside of society's moral norm. Do you think that murdering someone is OK? I imagine that Christian or not, the majority of people would all agree that this is not OK. Most people may agree that it is not nice to go sleep with someone else if you are married, or to hate people. A sin is a name given to something that is bad for us as humans to do.
I believe that it is human nature to sin, or in other words, I think that we are born with this behavior. Whether you believe in God or not is something else. It is about having a conscience.
"For some of you below," I am a Christian, I have never felt the need to have to announce it. I am right with God and that is what matters. I feel that others have to answer to God, not to me, for who am I to judge?

All of those above can try to justify themselves so they feel better about their sin, but the fact is God has written his law on our hearts. even the most primitive societies have laws or rules they base on conscience, some even set up courts or ruling tribes or kings. You can make up your own God and your own rules, but the fact is WE WILL ALL STAND BEFORE THE LORD and will be judged accordingly. You have been offered eternity through Christ Jesus. and have turned it down because of your own foolish pride and lusts of the flesh. I am not judging you. Just telling you the truth. and the TRUTH shall set you free. I was a sinner and the truth has set me free, please you owe it to yourself to research the facts archeology is proving the bible true every day. put your pride aside for a moment and humble yourself before an all power full creator. for one day every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. I hope that when you do this. IT IS NOT TOO LATE.

We choose to sin. Yes we where born with a weakness that made it easy for us to sin. And contrary to what some belive, Christianity is not the only way people judge sins. Muslims, Jews, Buddists all agree there is sin.

We are born with a sinful nature inherited from Adam. We further this nature by sinning of our own choice. Sin is basically disobedience to God. God says don't steal, and if we steal, we are being disobedient. God says do give Me first place in your life, and if we don't, we are being disobedient. No matter what sin you can think of, if all boils down to being disobedient. Adam and Eve were disobedient in eating of the fruit, and we disobey everyday in the things we do or don't do. The only One who was sinless, was Christ. He took the penalty for our sin from us and replaced it with His righteousness.

Sin is a concept made up by humans. Humans label others as sinners, that's all.

Our vulnerability to the temptation of wanting this world to fulfill us is not surprising. We are creatures made to live in this world. The first humans felt at home working in this world because they were a part of it. This connection between us creatures and the created world makes it possible for us to draw a measure of fulfillment from this present life.
But being self-satisfied in this present existence can be a spiritual mistake with eternal implications. Because we are rebellious creatures, satisfaction with ourselves or with our accomplishments can indicate that we do not understand the real tragedy of our spiritual condition. In effect, our tangible effectiveness in this world infatuates us, and we lose sight of what the Scriptures say about us: although we were created for glory and fulfillment, we are horribly corrupt at the core of our beings.
