Old fashioned is best, use tin foil, chose the color of your choice and mix as per instructions (do a test first to check it goes the right color) Cut tin foil into strips big enough to wrap round the ends of your hair, you may need a friend to help you, place the end of your hair onto a tinfoil strip, paint with a small flat brush and then wrap the tinfoil over it so it can't spread. you would need to work with about an inch of hair at a time to get good coverage. follow instructions for the color but be careful to rinse with out getting the color on the rest of your hair! alternatively get a can of red hair spray and wash it out the next day!

There's a really good kit called 'highlights' which you can get in Superdrug, which is a coloured bleach (you can choose from blonde, red, purple and pink) - the instructions are really clear in the kit, and take you through how to do the tips yourself. They gave really awesome results on me (purple tips on dark brown/almost black hair), and the kit was about £5 (so cheaper than the hairdressers!)

It's a bit complicated to try and explain how to do it over the internet!

Best to get that done at the hairdressers.
As your hair's so dark, it would need to be bleached first, then the red applied, otherwise the red wouldn't show up. (I know this, cause I am also a dark brunette!)
Would look good, go for it! :-)

You might be better goin the hair dresses only be coz they have the proper dye & equipment to do this, has you might know dying your hair can be messy so doing ONLY the tips will be worse coz you'll have to make sure dye doesnt get any were else!

just but the hair dye and get a mate to just dye the tips for you. i understand how much hairdressers cost but if you are worried that your hair will go wrong then meybe it might be better to save up and go hair dressers

id say blonde it will match much more of your clothes than red. say you had a blue dress on and red tips definitely blonde youll have to bleach the tips first then add the colour.
good luck !

I think you'll probably have to bleach your tips first and then put the dye on top, because your hair is so dark.

probably bleach them first to strip the colour then repigment with red. it'll be tricky i reckon so go to a hairdressers, shouldnt cost much because its only the tips! xxx
