If one-half of one integer is subtracted from three-fifths of the next consecutive integer, the difference is 3. What are the two integers?


I would guess that I would set up this equation as 1/2 - 3/5 = 3
But I am lost after that , and I am not even sure thats how I should set it up. Help !

Also I need help with this problem. It is the well know "a train taveling a such and such speed equation" THANK YOU

A passenger train can travel 325 miles in the same time a freight train takes to travel 200 miles. If the speed of the passenger train is 25 mi/hr faster than the speed of the freight train, find the speed of each.

A girl I have been friends with for years told me an embellished account of something that happened with my daughter at school. I questioned my child and she repeatedly denied the story, so I spoke with the teacher. The teacher did some investigating and determined that what I had been told was somewhat true, but expanded to seem much worse than it actually was. This same "friend" is know as a town gossip and is always comparing material things and the success of her children in comparison to others. She also made me promise not to say a word, but, hello? I am a concerned and involved mother so I just could not let it go without doing some questioning of my own. So, I saw this same lady at school when dropping of my daughter and she put on her sunglasses and turned her head. I know that eventually we will confront one another. Do I call her now and call her out on her lie or should I wait or perhaps just let it die? What do you think?

I have a home network with several computers, and they all belong to a workgroup. Now I also have a laptop from my employer. If I connect to my employer's VPN from the laptop I cannot see my home network's workgroup, but I can see my workgroup if I am not connected to their VPN. Unfortunately, that means I have to bounce on and off the VPN any time I want to print something to the printer connected to one of my home PCs. Inconvenient.

Is there a way I can see my home network's workgroup while I'm connected to my employer's VPN? Or do you suppose they have that locked down by group policy and there's no way around it?

I'm an American volunteering to help some parts of Africa and have seen quite a bit of black Africans who naturally have colored eyes. The most common colored eyes are green and a few have blue and some light brown. I also know some of them with natural colored hair, a lot of them have a mixture of red,brown, and blonde if they do have colored hair and a very small few with pure blonde hair. I've even seen some of them with thin pink lips and pointed European shaped noses. You have to remember that this Africa so the possibility of contacts or plastic surgery is none to nill. I have even seen some with light golden skin and white skin( I think the white skin might be from albinoism).Could their have been some European ancestry in black Africans?

When I was in Junior High, I had a teacher that really made me feel weird--there was just something about him that I never liked from day one. This is going to be lengthy, but I want to give all the details so that you can make a fair judgement here.

I went to a private (Christian) school, and all my teachers were wonderful. Of course, they had their moments like all teachers, but for the most part they were really great--except for one teacher. It was his first time teaching at a school, but he had worked alot with youth in the past. He was the husband of one of the other teachers at my school (she was my 4th grade teacher). Since my classmates and I really liked his wife, we figured we'd really like him too. He was fun and made class interesting, but as time went on I felt more and more uncomfortable around him. He did things that would either creep me out, scare me, or just make you go "What the heck?"

I have always wondered if with the cartoons (mainly the ones from years ago like Bugs, Tom and Jerry, early Mickey Mouse...ect.) if they had the music done first and then they made the cartoon to go along with it (you know how with cartoons the music matches the character's action) or did they make the animation and the music later to match it? (I've always been interested in cartoons especially the ones from years ago it shows more about the time period than some might know).

If there is a net (after taxes) income of $3100/month (about $37,000 / year), and the family has no debt except a mortgage, can they survive on this income? The mortgage payment is about $670/ month and they live in the Southeastern United States.
