The people of Iraq seemed to think so, or at least most of them did.

And personally, I think it had to happen eventually, because there could still be parts of the insurgency that believed he could return to power. People who were either backing that part of the insurgency, or afraid to turn people in who belonged to it, are now free to make better choices.

The best choice would have been to have proceeded with inspections and not have started the war in the first place. Once that bridge was crossed, getting rid of Saddam was the only acceptable conclusion.

he deserved execution, but they could have made him pay more by locking him up in prison for life.

But the day in which they executed him and using a hanging form of execution was poor judgment.

I would rather him be lethally injected.

The Iraqi court thought so. I think the judge made the right decision.

Absolutely. He was responsible for the death of many many people. An eye for an eye right.

In a way. I'm glad we killed the ______, but if we left him in longer, he would have suffered more. But you also factor the cost of keeping him alive.
