I'm an American volunteering to help some parts of Africa and have seen quite a bit of black Africans who naturally have colored eyes. The most common colored eyes are green and a few have blue and some light brown. I also know some of them with natural colored hair, a lot of them have a mixture of red, brown, and blonde if they do have colored hair and a very small few with pure blonde hair. I've even seen some of them with thin pink lips and pointed European shaped noses. You have to remember that this Africa so the possibility of contacts or plastic surgery is none to nill. I have even seen some with light golden skin and white skin( I think the white skin might be from albinoism).Could their have been some European ancestry in black Africans?

Africans have long intermingled with Europeans.

Certainly in North Africa many people have European ancestry going back some fifteen hundred years - as the Roman Empire fell a Germanic tribe called the Vandals occupied much of North Africa. They also gave their name to destructive thugs. Then, during the Islamic period up to the 1830s many Europeans were held as slaves in several parts of Africa - and if the men were not allowed to have children the women could decorate harems - and have offspring. (something similar happened in Iraq with Black slaves ). Thus there has been a steady flow of European blood over the centuries into what is referred to as Black Africa. Whether that is as important as culture and upbringing could well be debated.

There were also groups who came from Africa and into Europe. These were the Goths and the Vandals. Most of these people settled into Spain and other surrounding countries, so anything's possible.

Yes. It's no less possible than white Americans having African ancestry.

Absolutely - specifically they have Sicilian ties.

Back during the Holy Wars, the Moors invaded Sicily.

They raped and pillaged and eventually children were born from the encounters.

It is possible that this occured in other parts of Europe as well.

Yes. Loads of people who have no idea of it are of mixed heritage, and Africa and Europe have a long history of contact.

Ah yeah!! Please pick up a history book. You have to remember that every ethic group on this planet with the exception of the native american has owned slaves. There are African dialects that are mixed with Dutch and Italian.

probably because i've heard of Black-Irish, so there's probably like Black -German. but if people look that way they are most likely to be mixed.
