why do people talk of "from the bottom of my heart"; "I can feel it in my heart"; "my heart is at peace". And worse - "a heartless person" while that person is still alive? Isn't the heart that organ pumping one's blood? So, how can some emotional feeling be at the bottom of that organ; and how can a person be said to be heartless whilst that organ is busy doing its work?

When I met my boyfriend 4 years ago, he used to pick me up at 2:00 am in order to spend time with me before he went to work at 3:30 am. We did this for about a year. Now we live together and he just doesn't seem to understand that I'm STILL a night person. I'm not tired when he is...nor can I sleep 17 hours a day!! His work hours have changed and he leaves at around 6:30 am. He is in bed at night at 10:00 pm. Not me. I go to bed somewhere around now(4:30am) but Im also able to sleep untill 11-12:00(noon). Its causing huge fights!! What to do?

Does anyone have a pattern for knitting buttons I know that years ago my gran used to make buttons by knitting them and they looked effective and I thought that I would try to experiment, but can you get a pattern to do this? I would appreciate it if anyone knows. Thanks

i've lost all my motivation i used to do everything, boxing, football, going out the sort of things most young people do, now all i do is stay in and wacth T.V, the only good thing i feel i've got at the moment is my girlfriend, we've been together for 4 years and i love her to bits, she's the only person i can talk to but sometimes i feel like i cant her everything, as much as i want to!

yes you may think i'm stupid but i married a foreign guy over 4 years ago (now divorced) and i have recently found out (he admitted to me) that he had planned the marriage with me in order to get the visa etc so he could then bring his (new) wife and SON to this country!! Just built a new system and I'm having problems with my dvd/cd burner combo. It's a Samsung sh-s182d and it worked for awhile, but then Windows stopped detecting it. Then I finally got it to work again after I plugged it into a different chord, but it didn't burn cd's properly and now it's not working again. I'll list my system specs just so you know...

Core 2 duo E6600 @ 2.4GHz
2Gigs RAM
GeForce 7950 GT KO
Asus P5B Deluxe motherboard
550W Antec power supply.

None of the other specs should affect this. I'd like opinions on whether this is a hardware failure coming from the drive or another system component. Everything is brand new so hopefully it isn't the mobo. If it's the drive it can easily be replaced. Thanks in advance.

I requested a copy of my credit report when I moved house as I used to move around different addresses annually as a student. Anyway, I got it through and found that there was a defaulted bank account and credit card in my name on there with a bank that I've never been with. Investigating further, the accounts appear to have gone to a collection agency and paid off fully. Because of this, the police can't help me, and the bank is being totally unhelpful as it's been closed off (I think it's just a bank admin error, and they won't admit that they made a mistake!).

How on earth do I get this removed from my credit record, as it's the only thing on an unblemished record, and I'm concerned that it will affect things for me in the future! Also am worried that it might set me up for possible fraud attempts if someone has my details.

You have a daughter who is 16 y/o. she is a very mature, clever and independent, she pulls her weight and helps out when needed she also always got good grades at school.She wants to move out and get a small place in the town you lived in when you where growing up, none of your family live there now but to you it is still home and your glad she’s picked that place to go to collage and to live. When you where living there you got the train back every so often to visit, and she will do the same
