Hello =)
You're having some brain-chemistry issues at the moment...nothing to get too upset or philosophical about....go to your doctor, and ask him about paxil.....it'll make you a little tired at first, and, well, a little emotionally flat, but after you get used to it, you'll feel much better. We all go through things like this, and it's usually nothing to do with anything real....just chemical changes in the brain.
Namaste, and Happy New Year,
--Tom

It does sound like depression to me. Fortunately the fact that you recognise it is a positive thing.
I don't think people appreciate the impact of good diet and nutrition on mental health. Try looking at what you are eating and see if you can improve things there. Also exercise can be incredible beneficial. It is difficult if you are suffering from lack of motiviation by try making yourself do something, you will feel better afterwards, it's just getting started that's hard. The next time should be easier because you can remind yourself how much better you felt.
You could also speak to your doctor though be wary as they frequentally prescribe antidepressants which aren't always helpful. If you do decide that medication may be beneficial for you then be sure you know before hand what the doctor is prescribing and why. Sadly this type of medication relies a lot on trial and error so it can cause as many problems as it prevents.
You may also find a journal helps. Write down your moods and what effects them. It may help you to avoid situations which aggravate the condition.
Good luck.

Sometimes the people we think we love aren't the people that are good for us.Force yourself to go out. Don't let it turn into something more serious. You don't say anything about a having a job. If you don't work that would certainly be the problem. The girl friend may be part of the problem. You have been together since you were 18, and don't enjoy anything any more.

Well, get ready to hear this, ok?
Prayer can change things. Get right with the God of the universe, settle up with all your wrongs, and submit to your maker. Then you may ask for help in whatever is going on within you.
